How do I add a derivative after interview date has already been set?

Hello everyone! I need help regarding my case. Here are the details of my problem, I have a daughter born on March 5, 2014. I only got her NSO certificate in the first week of April as it takes sometime to process it. When I called the NVC to add my daughter to my petition, the representative told me that I am already scheduled for interview (May 27) and they are sending the papers to USEM so they cannot do anything about that. Another call to NVC and the representative told me that I could just forward the documents to the embassy directly.

I have called the various numbers at the manila embassy and nobody picks up or its just a recording. I also sent emails to the immigrant visa unit but there is still no answer. I also tried sending the NSO certificate via email at IVmanilaattachements@state.gov but there still no reply. I would really appreciate anyone who could give me advise and information.

My ultimate concern here is that I would like my daughter to be added to my case so that my family could all go to manila for medicals and interview together. Less stress for the infant when travelling..Thank you very much to anyone who could help!

It would be the same procedure as your wife, I will ask that this be moved to the right forum.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks for your reply! For my wife, I submitted the documents at NVC. However my case is different since the NVC has already sent my case to the embassy for interview. The representative told me that I should have sent the documents earlier before I was scheduled for interview. However, the NSO certified birth certificate of my daughter arrived after I have already been scheduled for interview.

So you have not had your interview yet?

Derivatives are pretty straightforward, shame you are going through PI, normally the wait is much shorter.
