why isn't this being referred to as a terror attack?

do we americans only refer to such killings as terror attacks if the perps are muslim? is this the old/new rule?

i got questions people...

It was a Terror Attack

Now Happy ?

It's not a terrorist attack if the guy's an angry, white American. Then it's just freedom, baby!!

That is sooooooo Racist..I am serious

Nobody I know of that is white condones this kind of barbaric behavior

Hate Crimes are not Terror Attacks. I know. right? One is okay for drone attacks, the other is to be tried on CATV.

Isn't it odd how we have to classify acts of crime by thought now days.

White man goes on a killing spree against minorities it's hate crime

Muslim man goes on killing spree against everyone it's a terror attack

Black man kills 12 on a Navy base it's a mass Killing

You mean like Nidal Malik Hasan who killed 13 people at FT Hood in the name of Allah and it was labeled Work Place Violence ?

Or the SPC who just killed 3 people for some other reason and yet, it's doesn't even get a label. Just a tragedy. Seems like being a Muslim gives you a special designation. It's extra bad when it's a Muslim.

My point is why do we have to label. Why is it any worse to beat a man for being gay than it is to beat a man because he crossed in front of you at the mall

It shouldn't be. But you know just like I do, when you're different, it's more prevalent. I had that argument with Expat here. A man walking into school and killing people is somehow less evil than a muslim who kills someone.

I agree one is no more or less evil than the other. Why is killing someone because you don;t like the color of his skin or sexual orientation any more or less evil than killing him because you don't like his clothes.

It isn't. But here, folks that have killed minorities have been treated differently than killing a regular white person.
