I know I'm probably just going to be referred to guides. Which I have looked at! But I'm just the type of person who values peoples' accounts of their experience. So, any/all help is appreciated.

I've been with my boyfriend since Nov. 2012. We met playing a game online.

He came to visit for the first time from April-May 2013.

He came to visit again from June-August 2013.

He came to visit the last time December-January 2013/2014.

This May, I leave to go visit him in Canada for about 3-4 months. In May, we are filing for our K-1 Fiance Visa. We would have filed sooner...but we aren't 'picture people' and didn't feel we had sufficient photographic evidence.

So, we're using this trip to accomplish some of that. Picture of proposal, the ring, with his family, etc. I understand that I can not mail this petition abroad? My father will be taking me up to Canada so I don't have to travel alone.

He is leaving several days later. Should we send him home with all forms and evidence to file when he gets back?

I just read the "Yes, you can visit" thread....but here's my question.

So....he's gonna be working this summer during our visit to save money for our future. My guess if we will be there.....until late August or early September. Then we are traveling down to US together for a more relaxing...not working 14 hour days

visit lol. So.....if he's HERE at the time this is going on....would his interview be conducted here? Is that allowed? If visa is approved while he's here....does he have to leave and come back or something? (Sorry if that's stupid) or will we be able to marry while he is here?

There are no US consulates in the US. The Dept. of State issues US visas, not local USCIS offices. You must get the medical and have the interview at your appropriate clinic and US consulate abroad.

Having your dad send the petition after he's taken you to Canada actually sounds like a really good idea. You can prepare the petition with your fiance, sign everything, add all the evidence, etc, then give the packet to your dad and when he returns to the US, he can mail it to the Dallas Lockbox. Ideally, you would be approved and ready for the medical/interview while he's still in Canada, if not, he'll have to do those after his trip to visit you in the US.

Medicals/interviews cannot be done in the US, they have to be done in the country where the alien fiance is legally residing.
