Indian Ocean extends from the southern tip of Africa to Australia. quite a bit south of the southern tip of India. I think you may be confused with the Bay of Bengal.

I am aware of the Geography, just thought it odd calling it Northern Indian Ocean when it is South of India.

Maps are Northern centric.

The general attitude towards minorities here is less than favorable. There are quite a few people that make it about race in threads that myself or any other minority might not even be in at the time. I usually have to take it on both fronts, race and religion. It's hard to tell the difference sometimes because people tend to react to us differently based on our race. So even if someone is being funny, if you don't know them, you won't know that.

I was the same way my first month in here, I've had time to learn who's genuine and who's not. Janelle will come around in time. Be patient with her.

Ahh I had not really paid attention. I never really gave the idea that he is Muslim much thought. If my wife looked like his I would paint myself black and convert to Islam just to make her happy.

Also I don't, in my warped mind, associate the Asian Muslims with the more radical Middle eastern sects.

Although I know in the Philippines the Muslims cause a lot of problems

I'm not so sure. Whoever this dude is, he seems to either have a mad on for me personally, or he really hates black people and Muslims. The Usual suspects here, I tend to not take so seriously since I know it's more my skin color/religion than it is me. But that dude makes it a point to come after me specifically.
