I-751 APPROVED!

Sake,

Funny you should ask...

I received the card on January 8th 2007 but no notice yet. I was also wondering if it's normal procedure since one of the USCIS emails clearly stated that the approval notice was sent on January 4th. Unless they meant GC as a notice but i doubt it.

Anyway, the notice itself means nothing without card so we can sleep soundly, can we?

Hi Amfrisco,

Have you received a seperate approval notice in addition to your new card? I have received my card first but I haven't received the notice yet. If you did how long did it take for the notice to arrive? Is it one of these 'Welcome to America' letters? I appreciate if you could answer my question.

I simply went on USICIS website, registered and optred for email alerts.

Congratulations!

Just curious, how did you give them your email address?

Amfrisco,

Thanks for your reply to begin with. I did some more research since my last post. I called 1-800 immigration number and I inquired about my application number through the automated system that gave me very similar message to the one online, however it said that: on January 4th approval notice on a form I-797 had been sent and that I should follow the instructions on that notice. Now... I know that notice itself isn't a big deal compared to actual card that we both alredy have however it says clearly to follow instructions on the notice that we have never received!!! I am also sure that new card isn't form I-797!

So I called again and spoke to one of the agents and she told me to wait for 30 days - very helpfull, go figure! Anyway why would it take so long for a simple notice to be mailed out? It took no longer than a week for the card!? They must be either having some problems with the system or it just takes them so long to mail them out.

Let me know when you get yours. I will keep you all up to date as well. Take care.
