this is the typical ####### you can expect from our government, have to jump through every hoop just to be with the one you love. i KNOW i sent everything required, i prepared it for 3 hours with my brother who just did his and was approved.

the only possible thing i can think of is....not including ever single page of 2 of my divorce decrees. the i129 instructions say "proof" of divorce. i sent in the page where it said i was divorced, the date, and the judges signature. i did this for both divorces. that should be enough proof, obviously i was divorced or i couldnt have remarried!

You really need to receive and review the RFE notice. It is pure speculation at this point trying to figure out the reason for the RFE. Hopefully it will be something simple. At least you now know that your petition is now in the 'active processing' mode...

Good luck on your visa journey.

It actually does not just say 'proof'. They want a copy of the whole divorce decree.

From the I-129F form instructions >

a. If either of you was married before, submit evidence that all prior marriages have been terminated. Evidence of

termination of prior marriages may include a divorce decree

, or an annulment or a death certificate issued by a

competent civil authority.

You need to wait for the RFE though. You will only know exactly what they need from you once you read the letter they sent.

It's best to fanatically over-inclusive, to be honest. We did that all the way through - never gave them any quarter to delay things. That's my 2 centavos.

Don't become to frantic yet..take some deep breaths it may be something small or not even pertaining to your divorce papers. And if it is relax and just follow every detail of the RFE.
