Putin is trying to restore Russia to the worldwide superpower status enjoyed by the Soviet Union, as now they are a regional power.

News propaganda is used by all governments, its nothing new and nothing specific to Putin.

Nothing she says in this clip even suggests that the US media is "guided" by the government as you falsely claim. Nothing. What she is saying is that CBS News declined to cover the tin foil brigade's stories. That's all. The Israeli govt. for one. The way they always frame any kind of Palestinian dissenters as terrorists. They also have their right wing allies in the media. Also, how they use the excuse of terrorism and security to slowly and methodically steal people's land. The U.S. govt. doesn't say much about it. In fact they tacitly support them with the massive amount of military and economic aid.
