Hi everyone,

I'm positive this question has been asked before so it can be moved if necessary. I just want to know why I haven't heard from USCIS in regards to my NOA2. The last I heard from them was in February of this year which was to tell me my case number was updated. I am very impatient. I haven't seen my fiancé in 2 years and I miss him beyond belief.

Here is my time line to give you an idea (mine never shows so I copy and paste.)

11/12/08- Met online Via Yahoo Chat
04/17/10- FINALLY met in person, lived with him for 2 years
03/05/12-Returned to the US
07/26/12- he applied for NZ PR (separate process for our case) been waiting since
12/28/13- preparing I-129F package!

1/10/14 I-129F package sent (FINALLY!)
1/17/14 Received NOA1 (text and email)
1/23/14 change in alien registration number(email and text) Still no hard copy of NOA1
1/24/14 got hard copy of NOA1 in the mail

Should I keep waiting or should I give the a call? Thanks!

At barely over 3 months, keep waiting.

Minimum research would tell you 6-9 months is a realistic goal. Some are processing quicker of course, but I don't expect that to last long.

Avery, you're referring to the whole process. But NOA2's for TSC look like they've been running right under 5 months from NOA1 lately. That's what I'm planning for anyway.

For Texas Service Center please don't hold your breath! Waiting for more than 5 months called put in a service request! Waited for the appropriate time.Called again with little help from even the Tier 2 officer. My I-129F packet was reviewed by a certified immigration counselor who commented that it was equivalent to the work of a private attorney. All documents required for filing, you all know the list. And in addition to those we supplied Notarized affidavits of intention, notarized affidavit from the Minister, pictures of the wedding rings and receipts, letter of proposal from my fiance signed and dated, passport documentation, boarding passes, flight iternaries with receipts for flights, hotel receipts, tickets to shows that had both our names printed on them,etc.- for all the trips together - Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, his time in the USA, Photos together from those trips, Cards, Letters, emails, a picture together in August of last year holding newspapers with dates clearly visable proving we had been together within the last 2 years. We have been in a relationship for 7 years and 7 months. We have provided every scrap of information possible without being overly redundant. I went to see him in Peru in December after sending the documents out. I am going to see him in Mexico in May. We talk everyday, text messages, phone calls, send gifts to each other. And guess what folks? The USCIS doesn't care whether you are in love and want to live together for the rest of your life! They don't care how much time and effort you have put in to the petitions we send! And they don't care how long you have to wait for an answer! They only put in their time and leave at the end of the day with no worries because none of us can do anything about their sorry lazy nasty attitudes. Sorry everyone just irritates me to no end when people just can't be nice on the phone when you call!

The kindness we give to others may never be recognized by the ugly souls we encounter in the vast jungle of humanity, but what we give will echo brilliantly in the smiles of those who have received it.
