After the workshop one of the people at the workshop asked how long is the wait from filing to interview and they said that "currently" the wait is of "6 to 7 months." Unfortunately my husband and I have been waiting longer than that. :cry:

I have not called. But I made an Info-pass appointment for May 6. Hopefully they can tell us what is the status of our application.

By the way, today my husband and I went to a "Getting Ready for Interview" workshop that we were invited to. After the workshop one of the people at the workshop asked how long is the wait from filing to interview and they said that "currently" the wait is of "6 to 7 months." Unfortunately my husband and I have been waiting longer than that. :cry:

Where do you go to the workshop????

We got a letter to attend the workshop at the Miami office on NW 7th Avenue. There were a lot of people there for the workshop.

Can you share the experience???

Sure. We arrived 30 minute early and stood in line to go inside. Once you pass security they take you into an auditorium with a lot of seats. You take a seat and once everybody is inside, two ladies came out and went through a Power Point presentation in which they list the documents that need to be brought to the interview (Birth certificates, passports, etc). They tell you to arrive on time to your interview. They explain that this is very important.

They also says to make sure you go to the right office that is on your interview letter. If you go to the wrong office your case can be denied.

It was very informative and I think that is a great workshop that helps people. It was only 20 minutes or so. Then they had a Question and Answer from the people in the audience. They do not answer specific case questions, but general questions about which documents to bring to the interview.

Like I said, it is very informative and if you get an invitation I suggest you go, because it is very informative.
