I am preparing package to send to NVC after my wife's I-130 is approved. I went to IRS website to download the tax transcripts but apparently there are different types of it which are the following:

Return Transcript

Record of Account Transcript

Account Transcript

Wage & Income Transcript

I already got RFE at I-130 stage which took a long time and I don't want to get another RFE or checklist. Do you know which transcript should I be sending? To be on safe side I am also going to send my tax returns as well. Thanks!

When you do the w2 you will get a original tax transcript from your accountant called 1040/EZ you just make a copy of it only federal tax income that shows the total gross income/total income do not print the whole pages then sending that together with other document you going to send

Use the 'return transcript'. It is less paper than sending in copies of tax forms.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. When I am on the IRS page and I select "Federal Taxes" than it actually encircles the "Record of Account Transcript" in red and suggests that it should be what I maybe interested in but of course I don't know what NVC is interested in to see. And yes it is 5 page for each return which is kind of long but I think it probably is better to send the whole thing rather than get checklist.

Does anyone know what is the different between each? Thanks.

When you go to download these online, there is a series of "what are you using this for" at the top. If you click "immigration" it tells you that you need the "tax return transcript."

Since this isn't a form that needs to be original or notarized etc.... If at all possible, save yourself time and get the one online. If you can't, I suggest going into the nearest IRS office and walking out with the tax transcript.

A 1040EZ is tax return form that is filed, not the name of a tax transcript.

This is wrong. Completely wrong in every respect. A correct statement, only for those filing a 1040EZ would be.

When you do your tax return, you will have a copy of the 1040EZ federal tax return and the W2. You make a copy of the complete tax return including the W2 and submit that.

This has nothing to do with a tax return transcript or any other transcript. 1040EZ is a "tax return" form. 1040 is the normal tax return main form but a 1040 is usually not a "complete tax return". A complete tax return includes all papers you would mail to IRS, if filing by mail.

that's why i put or stand as a slash if that if applied in any other case

I addressed both the 1040EZ and the 1040. Everything I said was wrong, is still wrong. Dead wrong. Completely wrong.
