Hey everyone,

I have already sent all the documents to NVC and have already paid all the taxes. I just got this email from NVC saying:

"The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified."

Do you have any idea how long it will take to complete our process at the NVC?

How long will it take to get the interview scheduled?

Congratulation you case is Completed..... As soon as u will get your interview date...

07 November 13 : Case transferred NBC to another office for processing.
08 November 13 : Case transferred to your local USCIS Office for further processing.
13 November 13 : Got our transfer notice in mail. Mine was transfer in Texas Service Center
15 November 13 : Case was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

02 December 13 : Got a notice that Case was approved ( NOA2 )

17 December 13 : Shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing.

Keep calling them every day asking when they'll send off your papers to the embassy and then you can contact the embassy to get your interview date.

No sorry that's not how IR1/CR1 Interviews go. Only expedites get scheduled by the embassy. Everyone else sits at NVC until you get a date. You will get email within about 24 hours of scheduling. Most here on VJ have called and found out.

Then your casefile is sent to the embassy. So now they wait. Now they just finished up May interview scheduling so unless someone cancels and they are the next up. They may wait until next round of interview scheduling for June which should start end of this month, 1st week in May.

My husband kept calling them, but it is hard to reach them. Should I keep calling?

When you said that they have already finished scheduling May interviews, how does it work? I thought that it would depend on the availability of the country's embassy.

It does depend on the availability. Most often the interviews are scheduled the first two weeks, the slots are filled and then you wait until the next month. Depends on the embassy or consulate and some wait longer than others. Feel free to join the interview thread. Congrats on your Case Complete!

I want to say thank you for everyone who helped me with your responses, specially to you djrub, dwheels76, SofiaIsabella and NRL.

I just got the interview date for May 23rd. So the process was actually completed on April 10th like you guys said.

Dwheels, I will complete the forms you asked! It is really important to share all the information we can, so that everyone can have a better understanding of the steps of the process.
