Thank you, guess being a squid has some value, Devil dog.

I noticed Scott AFB, therefore, I would have guessed AF and not Navy.

I remember that thread from a few days ago, I too could link to racist comments by Democrats also and we both would still remain steady in our respective stances. It's no secret that both parties have had members that have revealed their individual, less than admirable feelings about race.

Nice try but fail. Why? Well because that's not the question. The question was whether the administration acted against the will of the people when they stopped deporting young illegal immigrants. The fact is that the administration did what more than 2/3 of the American people support - to pave a way for them to remain here legally.

The proper Gallup figure to look at is the first question below - 87% favor a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Allow illegal immigrants living in the U.S. the opportunity to become citizens after a long waiting period if they paid taxes and a penalty, pass a criminal background check, and learn English

That's not what Obama has enacted though. Read through DACA and tell me that's what that's brought; it's not.

The reason Republicans in Congress have balked on any immigration reform is because Obama has countless times proven himself untrustworthy when it comes to enforcing existing laws. I don't blame them a bit.

Oh. Then we can repeal Obamacare tomorrow, because it's wildly unpopular with the electorate.

Yes and that same electorate seems much more fond of the Affordable Care Act. And they're even more fond of all of the building blocks of the ACA.

"So you disagree with Obamacare?"

"Yes, I do."

"Do you think insurance companies should be able to exclude people with preexisting conditions?"

"No."

"Do you agree that young people should be able to stay on their parents' plans until they're 26?"

"They should be able to, yes."

"Do you agree that companies with 50 or more employees should provide healthcare?"

"I do."

"And so, by that logic, you would be for the Affordable Care Act?"

"Yes."

http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/10/some-americans-say-they-support-the-affordable-care-act-but-not-obamacare/280165/

Republican propaganda and blatant misinformation and lies have certainly done some damage in public perception of the ACA - especially when it is called Obamacare. But the American people will not stand for having repealed the availability of health insurance regardless of gender and pre-existing conditions. They will not stand to have repealed the provisions that allow children to remain on their parents policies through college. They will not stand for bringing back junk policies that only collect premiums and drop the insured when they need the coverage they thought they paid for. You can pretend otherwise all you want but the ACA is here to stay. And Americans support its provisions rather broadly. Even Republicans do.

* Eighty percent of Republicans favor “creating an insurance pool where small businesses and uninsured have access to insurance exchanges to take advantage of large group pricing benefits.” That’s backed by 75 percent of independents.

* Fifty-seven percent of Republicans support “providing subsidies on a sliding scale to aid individuals and families who cannot afford health insurance.” That’s backed by 67 percent of independents.

* Fifty-four percent of Republicans favor “requiring companies with more than 50 employees to provide insurance for their employers.” That’s backed by 75 percent of independents.

* Fifty two percent of Republicans favor “allowing children to stay on parents insurance until age 26.” That’s backed by 69 percent of independents.

* Seventy eight percent of Republicans support “banning insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions; 86 percent of Republicans favor “banning insurance companies from cancelling policies because a person becomes ill.” Those are backed by 82 percent of independents and 87 percent of independents.

It's as much as he could do without Congressional action. And don't be fooled by the propaganda - though I know you are - Republicans have not acted on immigration reform because the crazies in their party would primary each and every Republican member of Congress that votes in favor of what the American people want. That's the sad reality. The GOP has been taken hostage by right wing nutters.

I'm here on Joint Duty. Working with civilians, not the best experience.

Here's the difference. I know about the racist in our party. When Rangel was yelling slurs, I posted that here and denounced him for it. I know he doesn't speak for all of us, just like the racist in your party don't speak for all of you. But, when we call it out on your side, all members here have NO clue that it exists within the GOP. Every week someone is putting their foot into their mouth about us, gays, women. Yet folks remain blissfully ignorant.

Oh. We have to be nice to the preznit, even if he's making a concerted and obvious effort to go around Congress and the Constitution? I somehow owe him that?

For someone who talks about us hating, you sure do use some colorful language in regards to the President.

Which is why they should receive the same title. You never hear a Chinese, Japanese, PI, or any other Asian called illegal. What's sad is the hispanic folks that were born here get that title just based on skin color alone.

I can honestly say I have never met an illegal Asian and I know plenty (not saying there are not some)

I can also honestly say the majority of Hispanics I have encountered here are illegal.

Hispanics by far represent the vast majority of illegals in this country

I have never seen an immigration reform rally populated by anything other than Hispanics.

Maybe JUST maybe it has something to do with the above and not skin color. Many Asians I know are darker than many Hispanics I know, and allAfrican immigrants I know are darker than all Hispanics I know

Yes it's all about skin color..

Jesus REALLY?

Like what? I was busy focusing on his lies of WMD, his killing innocent women and children in Iraq so his family could get richer.

But I thought you liked Obama

Sorry to borrow from Nature Boy's gig, but you need your own special set of letters.

A. Use really big words to try and make yourself smarter than you really are.

B. Use multiple :rofl::rofl::rofl: when unable to formulate an intelligent response

C. Post an image you find from Google

This one is a 'C'

Be careful..That is a serious violation of the TOS for some obscure reason no one has been able to explain other than someone reported it.

Where do you hang out at? The hispanics here are all legal and American citizens.

Thinking about this more, what Nancy Pelosi is doing is brilliant. She's getting more registered Democrats, and at the same time she can deflect any criticism by calling her detractors racist.

What I find really interesting is that the unemployment rate for black folks is twice the national average. I wonder if those folks will still be cheering for Nancy when all these newly minted USCs start taking their jobs? They probably will since the alternative is a bunch of old white male bible thumpers with a few crazy white females mixed in. (See Michelle Bachman)

What the politicians and in this case Democrats are doing to stay in power, reminds me of the story of King Solomon and the baby.

Asians abuse the system as much as any other immigrant without means, the Chinese amongst them are no exception. Abuse is not linked to any one specific ethnic group.

This is well meaning liberal clap trap.

Of course you are technically right.... in a country of 300 million there are sure to be illegals from every race and ethnicity.

But isn't that like saying country music is enjoyed by all races and nationalities you can't assume it is more popular with any one demographic.

If Asians "equally" abuse the system say it. If there is no difference in their abuse say that.

Quit using meaningless phrases which tell us nothing.

Where do you hang out at? The hispanics here are all legal and American citizens.

What I find interesting is the same folks who run like heII to defend min-thug trayvon are the first ones to

help take even more jobs and opportunity away from those SOBs (sons of Obama).

Whose jobs do you think those cherished immigrants are after?

The other day I went through a new development that just sprung up. I saw there what I have seen for a decade now.... nearly all Hispanics working....... doing the same jobs I used to see Black crews doing.

Cement / mason work *****

Painters ****

Landscaping *****

Roofing**

Siding.**

Floor coverings.****

I never see a Black crew any more except for one that does my neighbors yard.

All those black owned business are gone and so are those "first jobs" for drop-outs like trayvon or young men looking to learn a trade.

Those semi-skilled jobs often were the first step to Blacks starting on of the path toward the cheapest businesses start up you can get into.

Bottom line.

There is no one more harmed by this mass immigration than Blacks without a college degree.

And I have to chuckle to myself to see how Blacks are being played by thinking they are in some "solidarity" with those wanting their livelihood.

Black power brokers are cashing in the futures of their own people .... with deal making they are getting rich and all they got to do is deliver Black support.

Immigration is just another nail in the coffin of Black society.

If I am wrong, tell me one thing mass immigration has done for Blacks?

Marv I want you to come on back here and go into the neighborhoods and talk to some average young black men, you will find most of them DON"T support what you seem to.

They see they are limited by their modest education-and Hispanics taking their jobs and driving wages down.

*Another example of Danno fighting for the betterment of Blacks (it's a thankless job.... or is it a calling?)
