What you don't get about black people is that we are not going to rain on someone else's parade.

It's already pouring rain and there's only so many umbrellas. Add more people to that parade, and more are going to get wet. Not just the new people marching, but the ones who have been marching for years.

Big bold underlined letters. That's the problem with congress. People like to blame Bush or Obama, but the real problem is congress.

Yep. For the record you can use my slogan, I haven't gotten it trademarked. Yet...

I agree, but who needs to take the blame? The folks that come here for a better life, or the employers that hire them over Americans? If employers couldn't hire those without the proper paperwork, this wouldn't be an issue.

But also, if they weren't here illegally then there wouldn't be an issue either.

But I don't think finding who is to blame is as important as finding the solution that helps American's the most. Clearly, as has been pointed out, adding millions to the legal work force is not going to help American's - and definitely no those most needing help.

You and Janelle can stand under my umbrella anytime.

That didn't sound as nice as it did in my head. :dancing:

No matter how many illegals are in this country, until the racist decide to let well be and understand that there are truly many good black people out here that want to work hard and be successful the unemployment rate for blacks will still be high.

They are selecting illegal immigrants over legal black people now. If they are legalized it will still be the same thing. Everybody over black folks. That is how it has always been. Look at the millions that are here now.

What is your game plan to overcome this particular scenario ? You mention 'now' but I note it's been prevalent since 1987, at least in Texas.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You made the point that 'Republicans' didn't like "anything darker than a piece of paper" and I pointed out the very illegal aliens and their children that many want to give an immigration pass to, rain holy terror upon blacks in many cities in Southern California.

Which racist do you mean?

Truth, both are at fault. Just folks love to heap the blame on one and avoid the other.

We should take care of our unemployed and poor here first, and then work on those who come in need of aid. We send billions to other countries when we have homeless and starving children here at home. CLEAN OUR HOUSE THEN GO HELP CLEAN OTHERS!

I think that's racist but I can't know for sure until I know if you're a D or R.

You can't claim racism. Only I can do that. Since you brought it up, now I'm offended. Reported.

The whole amnesty thing brings up another issue. What about the folks here still going through the process to get their loved ones here? There's only so many USCIS resources. Even though my wife is a citizen and we're done with all that, I still stand strong with my brothers and sisters still going through the legal immigration process.

Them dudes are still frowned upon for what they did. I salute their courage.

However, only looking at SoCal and using it as the sole example would ignore similar problems with illegal Russians in New York, illegal Irish in New England, illegal Asians in the Bay Area, etc...

Yes, there is an issue with the border, but it is far larger than the southern border with Mexico.

I am not suggesting we give Latinos a pass so much I advocate that we hold all in a similar situation in the same category.

Nope, I don't ignore illegal immigration with regards to any group. My point was to shed a little light on the slant

"We know the Republicans does not like anything darker than a piece of paper."

As well show how folks in some cities in Southern Cali are suffering as a result of unchecked illegal immigration from south of the border. I didn't know illegal Russians, Irish, or Asians engaged in the same.

This people come here because they have a guaranteed job in America's exploitative, employment system.

Some of these companies probably have recruiters on the grounds in Mexico telling them where to meet the traffickers.

The Republicans don't want to lose their greatest allies, companies and corporations that employ illegals, by reforming.

Then these illegals who are working on these Strawberry plantations could demand more than $400 a month if they became legal.

They wouldn't come if they knew they wouldn't get a job.
