:crying::crying::crying::crying: The wedding dress I had my heart set on was discontinued. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

This sucks!

See if you can contact the company who made it and ask for a list of stores that sold it. Call up the stores and see if they still have any left in stock.

good idea!!!! you might even get it at a discount since it was discontinued!

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Janine there's always the classic tourist cities like Marrakech and Essaouira and Agadir. Where is Adil from? I personally don't like Casablanca- it's like the Los Angeles of Morocco. I am hoping to go South into the desert next time we visit.

Adil is from Tangier. I know we will be traveling a lot to visit his friends, but I was hoping that a few days we could see some of the historic places. I was reading on morocco.com about some of the cities and took a few notes on things to see. I must say Casablanca is not on the top of my list.

Does anyone know about a moroccan that was arrested on 9/11 conspiriacy charges? My dad just said something about it, but I can't find anything. I think he's just trying to scare me. And also how we just bombed Somalia and that they really hate Americans in Morocco now. I just don't understand. Why do people base countries on the media?!

I was in Egypt when they hung Saddam and suprisingly enough there were mixed reactions there. A lot of Iraqis are there now and 1/2 are glad and 1/2 are not. I wouldn't worry about it since even with the ones who weren't happy they still didn't blame me. Most of the people hate America but not Americans, if that makes sense.

Do Zacarius Moussaoui or Mounir al-Motassadek ring a bell?

Where were you gonna buy the dress? Can you describe it?

It's from David's Bridal, it was ivory with soft gold lace accents and some beading. It had off the shoulder cap sleeves, low cut in the back, high neck line, cathedral train. Princess style. At the time the price was $799.00, it was part of their 2006 spring collection and I was holding off on buying it til the damn visa gets issued. :crying:

I went a little wedding crazy and had a billion bridal magazines and catalogs. I kept some of them, so if I come across anything that looks like your dress, I'll post a pic here and see if that's the one.

BTW, what was the outdated URL? Sometimes the style number is encoded in the address.

I called 3 stores, none of them have any idea what I am talking about. :crying:

So there was a number in the URL, but apparently it has nothing to do with the style number. They checked it every way they could and it didnt work. I called the corporate office and they couldn't figure it out either.

I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the store has an old catalog laying around where I can find the number and then try to locate the dress.

JP, I hope you find your dress  ... there's a DB in NOLA... I bet there's at least one in your size floating around somewhere looking for a home - find out what you can and I betcha we'll find it for you!!!

I didn't want to get up today either but it's a gorgeous day here in south LA. I picked up Said to go meet a client of mine for lunch then after I brought him home, I rode back to work on the scooter! Hadn't been on it since before christmas! wooo!

Janine, I know everybody else is dissin' Casa, but *I* like it there - I didn't think I'd like Los Angeles either, but I did. It's the big metropolitan city of Morocco... But I also enjoyed Marrakech & Essaouira a lot. I have not yet made it to Fes, but definitely will the next time we go. I also liked the little town of Mohammedia (where Sarah's Hicham is from). Said's sister has a summer home there (they live in France). Enjoy the heck out of your trip... it will be amazing, I'm sure.

Almost time for my massage.... aahhhhhhh.... I need it so badly! Danced uber hard at an arabic wedding last weekend (w/ a live band and everything) and it was soooo much fun, but wreaked havoc on my body!

Cheerio!!!
