Hi folks,

Just want to let you know that my fiancé went to have his medical test done yesterday. When he called me in the afternoon he began to tell me that when he arrived in Sto.Dgo. he saw an office that said Consultorios de Visa and that he went in there. My heart dropped. My first thought, OH NO! Some buscones have set up a fake office or something!

I didn't say anything but he continued to tell me that they are an actual office of Consultorios De Visa that is across the street from the clinic. He said they went through his paperwork, checked to see he had all his documents, and verified that his name was printed on his pictures. He says they put the blue form from his packet inside his passport and then they instructed him to go to the security guard at the entrance of the clinic and to not stop to speak to the buscones outside.

He said that once he got in line to enter, some folks were being turned away because they did not have all the correct documents and he said he was happy he had stopped inside that small office first because his entrance went very smooth.

They also gave him a CD and told him he did NOT have to take that to the interview, that the CD is for him to bring to USA (hopefully soon!).

Our interview date is set for 4/23 and they told him they would send his results directly to the Embassy.

So just an FYI of what's available in Santo Domingo.

Best Wishes to all!

My fiance went last week and he had to go to the old consultorio. I guess they opened the new one this week. Good luck on your appt. on 4/23. Mine is April 22nd and I can send you a message or post the review right away so u can have a heads up for when u go the next day. I am calm but as the day gets closer I am starting to feel more nervous. Good luck to both of you on April 23rd.
