How important it is to include that authenticated birth certificate with my G-325A.. I never knew that I have to include that so I did not send my authenticated copy of my birth certificate to my fiance.. Does it really needs to be the original authenticated or photocopy will do? Coz I was just thinking of sending it to him via fax. Would USCIS accept that? Plus I have sent my fiancee the copy of my passport.

And I believe that sending it via FedEx will be very costly again. Coz they still apply regular rates even if its just one page document. So I was thinking of just sending it via postal.. How safe?

Plus those dates I've put on my G-325A and my Letter Intent to Marry was January 2 of present year, wherein that was the date when I filled it up. How long is the validity of those papers from the date I filed them?

Any idea with this mess Ive done!?! Argghh!

Thank you in advance!

Julie

A photo copy of your birth certificate will do, just make a copy of both sides, and if reverse side is blank just make a note on the blank sheet "Copy of reverse side of Birth Certificate"

Us post is very safe I sent our package priority, certified, with receipt signature card.

Valid until they request another.

YuAndDan,

A single-sided photocopy of the front of a document that is blank on the back side is in effect a double-sided photocopy of the original document. The back of the photocopy will be just as blank as the back of the original. Save the blank piece of paper and write on the back of the photocopy 'this side blank on the original'.

ummmmmm, i didn't know that they asked for the birth certificate from BOTH of us?!

Didn't they just ask for the USC's one???

Now i am confused, because my fiance (USC) sent his birth certificate, but i didn't.

I also just sent a copy of my passport along.

I really can't remember seeing anywhere, that they asked for 2 :(

They don't ask for the beneficiary's BC - but some people are sending it, anyway, afraid that they will get an RFE for it.

I didn't send my fiance's, but I did include a copy of the inside front cover of his passport (mainly because I used passport stamps as part of our proof of having met in person) just in case. ;)

I inluded a photocopy of my authenticated BC in our packet. It was not required but just to make sure that it's already there if they would want to ask for one. Thinking back at the time when we were still working on our I-129F, we just realized that we submitted too many supporting documents . It's better be safe, right?
