Thank you, that's another thing, I wanted to get letter from my priest stating that we have initiated the process to get married through the catholic church, however I dont know if thats too much to send in....

You can do that. However, it is certainly not necessary. As per page 5 of the Form I-129F instructions, the petitioner and the beneficiary each have to provide a signed letter of intent to get married within 90 days of arrival in the US.

Thank you, I have these forms, however on the instructions for 325A didnt especify if it had to be singed and dated or not... I know it should be common sense but that post got me confused.

If you are infact filing for a Beneficiary from/in the Dominican Republic the forms and anything submitted can be in EITHER English or Spanish without needing to be translated.

I did the I-129F packae, but my wife sign her parts. In July i got a RFE to re do the letter of intent, sign and notarized it. Its the same letter that is on this website in the package.. Once it was notorized by case was approved. O i think its best you notorized them.

Do we need to have this letter notarized as well? I know that all copies of birth certificates and divorce decree have to... Is there anything else that has to be notarized? Im putting my package together and I dont want something like this to delate our process.

No. Notaries simply verify signatures. They have zero to do with content. People can have anything notarized but there is no requirement to do so.

The only time I've heard of a notarized letter of intent being necessary was for the London embassy, which requires one to extend your petition date if it's expired before you've had your interview/visa issued.

Nothing in the process needs to be notarized, including translations.

The letters of intent and G-325A forms just need original signatures. The G-325A from the foreign fiance(e) can be unsigned and just state something like "Beneficiary will sign at K-1 visa interview". This does not mean you have to leave it unsigned. Since they have to sign the letter of intent anyway, they might as well sign the G-325A and send them along with the required passport photo to include with the I-129F petition.

Translations need to have a certification on them by the person that does the translation. This can be anyone fluent in both languages > http://www.visajourney.com/content/translations

I submitted mine and my wife's I-129F last Jul. Other than pictures, the letter of intent, relationship summary, etc ( of course), there was nothing in the package that were orginals and/or notorized. When we/I say originals, I think we're talking about passports, birth certs, divorce decrees, translations, etc. Nothing original or notorized included along those lines. I did, however, sign, print my name under and date every paper at the bottom...along w/her signature on some along w/mine. The package took me about 2 months to complete from the time we started researching, to completing and shipping. The key is to prove that the relationship is legit, neither of you are criminals, marriage will happen and there is a means of support. They want your spouse to come to the US and not have to be taken care of by our government.

We got no RFEs and approved in 46 days.
