What to bring to oath ceremony

I have my oath ceremony tomorrow and I wanted to know what I'll need to bring with me.

From what I can see, all I need to bring is my green card and the oath notice. I don't have any other immigration documents that might apply like an EAD or AP.

Also, will they want to keep my 2-year green card? I'd really like to hold onto that if possible. Surely they only want my current 10-year green card?

Thanks!

I believe they want everything, that said a lot of us either shredded these old documents or don't know where they are. I personally only brought my 10 yr card and they were fine with it. Your 2 yr card ceased to be valid anyway - why would you want to keep it?

The notification and greencard are all you need. You will have to surrender your greencard, for once you are sworn in you will not longer be a foreigner.

Congrats!!

My husband surrendered both of his green cards at the oath ceremony. He took his oath notice along with the two cards, and that's all he needed.

So he can moonlight as a foreigner when travelling in lands hostile to US citizens, perhaps? As a keepsake for his tremendous tribulations through the long and arduous immigration process? Because he has become accustomed to using it as his photo identification at night clubs and strip joints? There are dozens of excellent reasons to keep the old conditional Card.

Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever...

I have neither legal training nor immigration expertise; all comments posted must therefore be consumed in that vein.

Think I'll bring my two year and ten year cards with me and just hand over my ten year card. If they ask for the two year I'll have it on hand.

I want to keep the two year card as a reminder of the hassle we had to go through to get it. I also want to be able to show my kids/grandkids in the future, I know I would have loved to see something like that if my grandparents had gone through this process.
