New Processing system? No more "touched" status updates?

Hi all!

So, as I wait for the NOA2, I was remembering how last summer, I was reading about other I-129F filers reporting their cases had been "touched," so they knew when an officer was looking through things. Do they do that anymore? Is entering in our case numbers on the case status page the only sort of updates we get?

This blind waiting kind of stinks; but I know we still have a long way to go. But it will all be worth it in the end.

a "touch" is whenever activity happens on your case. For example, according to your timeline, your A# changed on 4/7. This is considered a "touch". The actual status online doesn't say "touch".

OH!!! I see!! So we don't really get to know, beyond them changing the ARN, if they've looked at our cases?

If you sign up for case status/an account, instead of just putting in the number each time, then you will get a screen where there is a "last activity" date or something. People call that a touch because the date changes on there sometimes, which is different than the alerts they send.

Mine has only changed when they did the alien number and on March 12 they updated my address.

I have been watching that screen and hoping that the last activity date would change from 12/26/2013 to something else but no dice.

Still waiting for the NOA2 and, yes, the waiting stinks.

I signed up for an account, but I cannot seem to find the page where it tells when our case was last accessed. It's pretty much just the same page where we can enter in our receipt number. Hmm...

I did! And I signed up for the updates. Not sure why I am struggling with this.
