lol I know right ? If dinner was not ready..I could see it but just get a cup of pasta and have a bite of sticky bun a little bit....and have a salad...no wonder she sleeps during the weekend..her body needs to regenerate.

Last summer when the little one was in the hospital because they thought her renal glycosuria was type I diabetes, they gave us these books on proper diabetes diet and I'm 100% sure pasta was a no-no.

How are her A1C numbers?

And you're cooking her all this carb stuff....

Intentional?

she said she was told that she can have a cup of pasta. To be honest though I don't think she is really watching much what she eats...she bought salads but she rarely eats them one and two just last week she got a whole cake and sweetened whipped cream to eat with it and strawberries. I saw her chowing down on those at 9pm...she has problems with eating when she gets home which is why I suggested she take lunch to work with her...proper lunch not a tiny salad so others don't judge her (why would they...everyone is 250 pounds in that office) ..I even told her I would make her proper healthy low carb lunches...she said no. *shrugs*

Her A1C number is.....Fat :)

(Is "fat" a number?)

How do I know....ask her----->

but you know...there is skinny people with diabetes too....it is all about what you eat at the end...there is a friend of my husband who probably weights 130 pounds with a bed and he has diabetes....drinking mountain dew 2x every day plus bunch of other things...bam...diabetes (leaving out the genetic part)

Well, her loss, I guess. Very few people eat just a cup of pasta...it is a really small serving with a lot of empty calories and carbs.

I know. I got kamut pasta for myself if I crave it...have no problems making it for her...I have shared quinoa and whole wheat stuff to make it a little healthier but ya....cannot force her. I think somehow she wants to be the "I am too cool and I don't care" type of woman.

eh. I will keep trying.
