if from scratch, i make the beans seperately, soak in water overnight, crock pot for 2 days.

in a hurry? open a can of cooked beans and toss it in - no one will notice.

I just forgot to get the canned ones even....i had a can of my own not pinto ...kidney but whatever. Then I found dried ones soaked them in hot water boiled for 2 mins and let them sit covered for 30 mins and then threw them into the pot simmering with all the rest for 45 mins....hoping that will do the trick.

and someone used my lime...so i dont have 3Ts just 1T..sigh...I bet it was me on some other recipe. *facepalm
