Me too!

I keep thinking and feeling like it is midnight.

Stupid toe is throbbing maybe squeezing the heck out of it was a bad idea.

On another note...lentil casserole came out well.

morning...tried talking to mum at 5 am this morning, started out saying that i want to talk to her about j but she immediately closed off and said she would rather not discuss it now. she said she knows i'm going to try and 'pursue a relationship' with him while i'm there and that nothing she says will stop me or change my mind. she just wants to enjoy the last 3 days i'm still here and that we can discuss it later on. oh and she will pray for me in the meantime.

exhausted. we are going for pedicures in a bit and then lunch. :) aunt is visiting from malaysia tomorrow so i might not be on VJ much. happy weekend everyone and...maybe the next time i post it'll be stateside. :D

don't pick at it, it could get infected. although if you say there was pus, it may already be infected. try soaking it in a warm salt bath instead.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

This is good! You were honest, and yes she's mad. But she'll get over it when she misses you. And Jonas will be welcomed.

You don't see it. But I do!

There is actually a large revival of microhomes going on. We've been using these in Minnesota for years and called the ice fishing shacks. They can be really comfortable, with all the comforts of a full size home, if a little cramped.

ya, the shack craze is picking up in texas, though mostly as a 2nd space in the back of the main house - workshop on the first level, sleeping area in the 2nd level, sorta high tech loft in the design but a low tech approach on building materials.

I dunno, I designed this stuff when I was a kid and my step-mother thought I was a loon. I designed many things before I left home that have been commercially realized without my name on em. Looking back, my step-mother is the loon, and it's good we not talk all these years.

Talking about container house,

Here are some very cool nice houses, I want houses like those:

http://news.distractify.com/culture/it-looks-rusty-but-inside-this-shipping-container-is-a-stunning-home/?v=1

Yup, I've done container designs over the last 30 years also.

Currently have one at the farm, but it's a storage shed inside, covered workspace outside on the long edge, deck on top held in place by pallet rack supports, and a hot tub with bar on the roof.

The other ones I like make a U shape, 3 levels. great for hoarders, so I'm told ;) Or reclamation experts (like me) .

I won't build one this century, my wife seems too controlling over my hobbies expeditures and somehow tolerates the micro-farm. School will be over soon, and the Detroit trip is planned - she'll be getting the tenants and I'll be repairing the houses up to code there, so we'll be busy, with frequent side trips on the water to Canada for the fun and adventure. I not expect her to help me with the house repairs, but I expect her to do well with locating tenants as she started answering the adverts last week before she got sick.

There will be jada Coney Island hotdog pics.....

Two foreign immigrants have just arrived in the United States by boat. As they discuss their expectations of American culture, one says to the other, "I hear that the people of this country actually eat dogs."

"Odd," his companion replies, "but if we shall live in America, we should do as the Americans do."

Nodding emphatically, the first immigrant points to a hot-dog vendor, and they both walk toward the cart. "Two dogs, please," he says. The vendor, only too pleased to oblige, wraps both hot dogs in foil and hands them over the counter. Excited, the companions hurry to a bench and begin to unwrap their "dogs."

One of them opens the foil and begins to blush. Staring at it for a moment, he turns to his friend and whispers cautiously, "What part did you get?"
