Checking bags is kind of random. Told my wife to bring no food items, except snacks to carry on during the trip. Mentioning a forbidden item will certainly get you pulled aside. I was once pulled aside and all I had was my scuba gear, and clothing.

So naturally she smuggled 4 chicken and a dozen baluts in :)

Her thuggy Malaysian friends are here...

So it is a fook lover.

Isn't nice to move away from bad influence? And cut off from Gump and Gumpier?

He can always buy the gump family the house next door.

She just brought her collection of pirate movie CD's. Well she wanted to, but I told her she'd get into big trouble for those.

morning everyone. my mom sat me down a few weeks ago to ask me to tell her 'honestly' if i was going to the US for 'that guy'. i lied and said no, but that i would be meeting him while i was there. :( should have grabbed the opportunity to come clean. i've been trying to ease her into it, i tell her something about j every couple of days, mention that we talked, and that maybe she might like to skype with him one day (answer was a big fat no)...but at least she has stopped trying to marry me off to other people. that's a start lol. she did also say fleetingly, i don't know if you're ever coming back. so, i can only assume she has read between the lines and it won't be a total shock when i do finally tell her everything.

she might have to have her cataracts removed in jan or feb next year so j and i are planning to fly to singapore together, partly so i can help my mom with the cooking and housework after her operation and also to introduce j to my family.

unrelated question:

how did you/your SOs fill in the customs form when entering the US for the question on food items? i'm definitely ticking 'yes' but do I have to give them an itemized list of the 30-40 food items i have in my luggage? or can i just vaguely categorize stuff like "pastries" and "nuts" and "condiments"? will i definitely have my bags checked if i tick 'yes', even if the items listed are permissible?

Just my opinion. You did miss the opportunity to come clean. Your mom knows what's going on. She wanted to see if her daughter was going to lie to her.

So it is a fook lover.

I'd do that if I was moving to Wyoming where the house next door is 47 miles away.... Edited by SteveAndTiff

Tiff is pretty loyal lol

Even when I was a man #######.....

I wouldn't say they're a bad influence. But definitely holding her back.

If I didn't think you felt that way about her, I wouldn't tease you about the lover.

Buy a house near an apartment building, buy the apartment building to move the thuggy friends and the gump family into it.

Buy house in next state for gump family and say its next door. When they find out its not next door, say next door, next state no real difference.

I agree on the what you told the Singapore kitty. Mama knows, was wondering if she'd come clean. But maybe mama wants to stay in denial longer to.

Mama always knows it is a proven fact. And she wouldn't ask if she wanted to stay in denial.
