Glock

Double-action revolver

AR-15 (with red-dot sight, flashlight and foregrip)

12-Gauge shotgun

Mosin Nagant (with scope)

As for accuracy at the various targets.. I was accurate with the Glock, AR-15 and Mosin Nagant (especially this last one, within 1 cm of hitting dead center on all 4 shots). Not bad for someone who's never fired a gun before.

That's no chart, that's a write up! I wanted colorful charts and graphs!

Sounds fun though.

My family was too poor to send me to any art/music camp when I was young.

I remembered plucking grass, weeds, wild flowers from open fields, pretending to sell vegetable like in the market with the neighbor kids.

It was the best of times where imagination roams free.

Yes, it is. I wish kids could still be like that, but it seems in America, letting kids play unsupervised is bad. I swear around here, before the age of 12 or so, it seems that kids are under lock and key.

When I was a kid, we'd go play off by ourselves and it was just fine. The other kids around her age in the neighborhood are also on "lockdown" and while they'll come over to play or whatever, the kids just can't go off and play in the backyard without you sitting out there with a chair...they can't walk down the street by themselves, etc. I think it is a shame.

Around here too. My husband used to get annoyed when we first moved here that my kids didn't go out to play and meet other kids. They never stayed indoors before we moved so they would get bored. The problem was we never once saw another kid outside, kinda hard to meet other kids when they never come out.

I'm not too sure why it is that way, but right now at school, in kindergarten, they only get 15 or 20 minutes a day to just play with each other in a full school day. I pay for her to stay after school some days just so she can play with other kids more. It has been so cold here lately that no one still is out on the playgrounds. *sigh*

One of the big selling features of where we are moving to me was that the kids next door already use the playset in the backyard and the majority of the kids live within 1 mile of the school. That is about 40 or so playmates your age who live within walking distance! The kids are even allowed to walk home for lunch!

When I was a kid, we used to run in gangs of like 20 kids per block. We'd have rivalries with the kids on the neighboring blocks. No internet, not video games, not a single luxury. Like Robinson Crusoe, as primitive as could be.

Oh nice, I wish I could of help pick this house out, but it was bought before we moved here. Not really a house I would of bought too much work needed and I know who will be doing the work :help:

It took 7 months of living here before my younger 2 (at that time) made friends.

Schools here suck big time, heck the older boys were in high school but they were not even aloud to leave to school during the day. It felt like a prison they would even get forced to stand outside rain or shine. Needless to say I ended up homeschooling it was so bad.

So, I decided on half days at the arts camp for the first two weeks and then see what our plans are regarding moving. I think she'll like it.

Booked the tickets for the kiddo to visit. $750 later is the best deal I've gotten so far. Next year she'll be able to fly on her own so that'll be a plus. I'll let my work know the beginning of July that I'll be gone for over a month. I remember what happened last time I let a job know too early I may be leaving. Probably will just have to quit but ya never know. Spending time with my rapidly growing monster is more important. I wish I could see her sooner but tickets are so darn expensive. It'd be cheaper if we lived in vegas I think!

Her dad asked me if it was okay if the lady he was seeing for the last few months can take the kiddo to go training bra shopping. I said as long as my kid feels comfortable doing that, they can. Hurts to say yes, because I wish I could just pick her up and go, (we did go when she was visiting but ran out of time to try more stores) but I can't so I really can't say no either. I'll take her once she's here but she needs something in the meantime.

ya for tickets even if expensive....

so what happened last time ? they fire you for missing over a month of work ?

I see how that would be hard to say yes too...you are her mom you wanna bond with her thru that not someone else but it is really nice of you to put that aside...I know some would not....:)

Thanks for all the lovely comments and support, everybody. It may sound dumb, but even just the smallest bit of encouragement and love really goes a long way in times like these. :) So I really appreciate it, a lot.

Trying to sort out inheritance right now and it's giving me a monster headache. Does anyone know the probability of life insurance inheritance being taxable? I don't believe it is, but I'm getting conflicting answers from "reliable" sources and am not getting much help. :(

In other news, I turn 23 tomorrow. Happy birthday to me, eh?
