Mmmmm.....Brazilian steakhouse....

Brazilian steakhouse not open for lunch, and the wife and her friend wanted us husbands to take them there for lunch. I'm thinking they want lunch because its much cheaper. I guess I'll need to live through a few more days of chikka chikka discussions to find out what the next request is. I know they've been talking about this a few days already, but since its in their native tongue, they think I don't know what they've been talking about

Don't tell them you understand, it would be interesting to see if they are talking about you.

On a related note, how close would you say Tagalog and Spanish are? Is it more of just a selective use of Spanish words?

For the record, women say that to every guy. ;)

It seems to me once my friends started hitting 27/28, some of them really started to look old and some of them still look so young (mostly those who haven't married or had kids). Goodness, one of my friends already looks like she is in her mid-40s, clean living and all that. Perplexing and frightening because these last 2 years I swear have added at least 8 years on to me. :(

To their girl friends? She doesn't say that to me.

The language roots have nothing to do with Spanish, but they adopted many Spanish words when they were a colony of Spain. The Bisaya language has adopted even more Spanish words than the Tagalog language. Sometimes its very obvious and they mean the same thing, other times the words and/or meanings can be heavily twisted.

I've never heard a woman say that her partner's member was small.

________

Now my arms are all bruised up.

I've got to tackle my paper in-box, do my Norwegian, and do my Accounting.

And clean the whole house

And feel better because I still feel like ####### from yesterday.

The magic never ends.

I really really would kill to get a spa vacation.

Do you find it to be a difficult language to learn?
