Technically you are supposed to carry it on you. My husband also leaves his at home because of the nature of his job, it would be likely to get lost or damaged.

But the law is not enforced, and its a silly law besides. First they charge $500 bucks (estimated as I'm not looking it up) to get a replacement, and the law was written because somehow it was supposed to stop illegal immigration. All its done is created a greater prejudice against legal immigrants.

The only one who can legally ask you to show your green card are border control officers and ICE. Police can't legally ask to see your green card.

I said they might get deported to the wrong country of origin

If they get arrested and convicted, and does jail time....upon release, they're always released to ICE to make a determination.

How often do naturalized citizens get deported? Heck we hardly deport the illegals here that we do pick up.

Guinea pigs are scrawny too, but they eat them....

That's because they like crunching the bones.

My wife is funny when she eats chicken wings, she eats every tiny bit of grisel on the wing, so there is nothing but this pile of completely cleaned off tiny bones on her plate. I'm always thinking it looks like someone ate a mouse.

good morning thread

reporting that I am tired. The end lol Need coffee...

dogs are getting shaved today...exciting.....cannot wait to make the pom into a cat.

went to welcome veterans at the airport last night (grandpa is one of them....they all took flight to D.C ...honor charter flight or something).....came back late.

funny story:

hubs and I and FIL standing in front of a huge map of the world, looking at countries and hubs points to one and says "New Zealand".....and I am like uhm...that is "New Guinea"....

he says "uhm...are you sure....I think it is New Zealand"......me: " it is not" ....he pulls up the phone to check......

Ok ...I spent 3 months in that area, actually have a friend from New Guinea and dated someone from New Zealand and took geography classes but apparently I don't know where New Zealand is but he does....it is the same thing like when he told me I could not add 4 consecutive numbers and had to check if I did it right or asked whether I knew the difference between square and cube.... kill me now.

btw: I was right .....uh duh ! (his excuse was that he did not see that "little" point on the map otherwise he would not have made a mistake....as long as there is an excuse...).

otherwise it was fun.
