I don't see it as bad as you do. As Nola said...he is her son so it makes sense for her to defend him, ultimately she is entitled to her opinion no matter what it is. I am here for now and cannot really pack my bags and leave...I don't think she hates me but I do think that she may have thought I was different that I was more like her son...no opinion no need to communicate and less of a threat.....I feel bad for her really and I am sure she feels bad because she was a big part of it all.

To say this again - she was not mean nor did she say anything with attitude but I think her opinions derive from her own experience with her husband...she had to spell out everything to him. force him to listen and push him to do things. I am not that kind of person and find that extremely unbalanced in terms of any relationship....she doesn't ....that is her normal behavior...enabling - so of course she does not see where the problem is and why I would be so upset and blames me for lack of "pushing".

I understand and truly am not mad at her.....annoying that she doesn't really see it but I could not expect her to. If I walk away from this knowing that I helped her manage her diabetes, get hubs to understand a minimum about life and how to deal with people then I can at least have that....just sitting here and do nothing and pout won't solve much except that it will make me feel more like #######. I act the best way I know how. Whether others appreciate it or not is a different story and it is for them to reconcile with later on.

FIL's 50th bday party set up ....talked to his sister....17th of May it is....cake recipe prepared...now despicable me figurines to put on top and whatever else they need me to cook. FUN !

update on hubs:

- forced him to respond yes and no to chat messages

- told him I intend to get groceries whichever ones I want (with thought...not getting gourmet stuff) and i will not be counting the money because I feel like i have spent enough as is and it evens out - he said ok.

- asked him to think over the weekend about how he would like our relationship to be...the dream situation pretty much...his expectations.

- also told him, for the love of god, not to ask me what is it I wanted him to think about during weekend (if he does do that I won't try anymore...did not say that though felt too much like a threat)

- told him i was sorry about how we ended up and that it is upsetting...he said he was also sorry and agreed that we seem to be on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to relationships

this took about 2 hours and him saying every other sentence..."I am tired, I cannot think"..."I have nothing in my mind right now" and not responding at all so I had to say "do you understand me ?"..."does this make sense?"...."would you please say yes if you get it?" .....he did say "yes" so whatever.

-also asked him to please not give me attitude and treat me like a villain just because I am saying things he does not want to hear or think about since I feel like he married me and had me come here so at least i deserve some sort of effort....minimal effort to listen and try to respond with "yes". he said..."right"

well...there we go...progress ? Sure...grocery shopping on Sunday baby

oh and I intend to add some meat into my diet in hopes that it will bring my periods back (shush all you men) ....one chicken ####### a week and one serving of fish...and see what happens...might just start with fish at first....
