Nope its called a 5/6. For every 5 you borrow, you pay back 6 within 60 days. 1/60th of the money is collected every day except Sunday as you pay double on Saturday, starting on day one. The loans are taken out by small family businesses, to buy stock and/or equipment to keep their business running or expanding. There's a different end of the business where personal loans are made, interest on those is 100% and must be paid back in December, when workers get their 13th month Christmas bonus pay.

Remember that scorpion lady in James Bond? I'd let her torture me :)

Ursula Undress was my favorite Bond girl back in the day.

Depends if you keep borrowing, but they're normally started out at 500P, with the option to borrow more at the end of 60 days if they paid well. BTW 500P is about $11, they're actually only collecting a few cents a day from people.

Not quite 1949, try 1962 which is bad enough.

You can go in the loansharking biz over there.....wear an eye patch....look like a bad #### evil geezer

I'm in the loan sharking business over there already. My wife is a millionaire over in them islands. Which is partly why she chafes working for a company here. Its not that she's not hard working and smart, but she's used to being the boss, not the employee.

Yer spyin' on me, Asia!

Of course she is, she's spying on us all. What do you expect from an Eastern Block girl going by the code name Asia?
