Joint Sponsorship = 2 AOS

Hello,

we are filling from Abroad and my spouse cannot be the only sponsor (no income in the USA)

so, my in laws will joint-sponsor me.

Question1: can they send directly the AOS package to the NVC ? or do they have to mail me the package so I send only 1 package with the 2 AOS (my spouse, my in laws)

Question2: Regarding the suggested additionnal documents they could send:

- Proof of US citizenship/residency of joint sponsor (ex: copy of US passport, US birth certificate, US naturalization certificate, or front & back of green card)

-Employment letter of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
-Pay stub(s) of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

These have to be OFFICIAL copies (notarized) or just photocopies ?

To address question 1;

It needs to be 1 AOS package. The joint-sponsor form will accompany your 864 declaration. This is at least how our lawyer is handling it and I have never heard of anyone doing it any other way.

Yes they can send it separate but it may waste time. It's better to send it all in one package.

Just photocopies are fine.
