some advice:

It will show initial review until they approve it. They do not update the site. So sit back and relax. Processing times are all over the place. MIne took 11 months. Nothing special about my case. Just slow processing. Processing times vary and there is no rhyme or reason.

I am checking everyday the case status and still initial review....

Initial Review means you are sitting in a box on a shelf or warehouse and they will get to it in 6 to 12 months. So just sit back.

Judging by Philippines' members timelines they take a smaller amount of time (~2 months or so), seems they're still expediting those by default. Varies from case to case though, some wait almost a year for NOA2.

Have patience, please. Many of us have waited way longer than that.

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but if you look under the current processing times for the Vermont Service Center you will see they have listed that they are currently working on September 30, 2013 applications for IR1/CR1...This is where I tracked the progress to estimate when to expect my NAO2. I realize it is still not an exact science but it may help.
