April 2014 I-130 Filers

From what i see online the only reference to "Appellate office" is in the case of Immigration Appeals Processing, but it says your petition was "Certified Approved" so yeah i would def call USCIS and see what that means

An update for us, wife received her SS Card, GA Drivers License last month and received the hard copy I-551 last week. so not we just have to hang tight till we have to renew her card for the IR1

Spoke to USCIS this morning. They said congratulations your case has been approved on June 23rd NVC now has jurisdiction over your case and they will contact me. I mentioned I already spoke with NVC and they don't even know about my case. They said it could take up to 90 days for NVC to receive the application and to call USCIS back if I haven't heard from NVC 90 days after USCIS approval.

This is ridiculous. It's almost 17 months since applying and our application hasn't even gotten past the first part of the process.

Yea its tough but this is a great thing. you are at NVC. when I was at nvc back in December it took about 13 days for them to even say they have it and 43 days to assign a case #. so now that we know they have it do this. call NVC and just simply ask do you have my case. a case # might not have been assigned yet but you want to know if they even have it first off. the thing about getting a case # and IN number over the phone is that you can start working on things because sometimes they take extra time to send you the stuff in the mail. by all means you can wait but if you get it over the phone you will have everything sent to your email address which saves you the hassle of wating for stuff in the mail.

so you can either call now and see if your case is there even though a case # isn't assigned or wait 90 days and get a case # over the phone.

if you are referring to the NVC tracker after the interview, we all have that pop up, its a formality for when they print the visa and compile all the packet to be hand carried

I already received 30 days email and trying to reach NVC by phone. But it's always busy. It's more than 35 days now. Is there any other way I can find out whether my case is complete?

hey everyone! been a couple months. just checking in on how everyone is doing . no update for me yet NVC has still yet to set an interview date lol. this month marked 1 year at NVC and 5 months waiting for interview. but all is well I went to go see my husband couple weeks ago for a couple weeks. hope everyone else is doing well!

That is a long time top wait. Myself I haven't been on this one in awhile. My case was placed on administrative processing. Im just waiting on my I130 to be readjudicated. So the wait begins

i just might be the only april 2014 filer that hasn't joined with my hubby lol.. well finally today hubby has his interview and it was smooth and quick and approved him and he should be getting his visa Friday or early next week! even though no one may be in here just thought I would update!
