Yes the embassy is very hard to get through but i wasnt as prepared. Some of the ladies in our group USfial on facebook are going through the same struggles. Im just wondering if they just let so many from Sub Saharian country in at certain times cause its been so denials. But to make long story short. One of the ladies got a approved in the group. She went Ghana with her husband and a she they were very tough on both of them. I dont think they are have any issues at ur Embassy. I think when they have waiting the interview is a good sign. My husband in approved at nvc 2/3/15 received P4 2/13/15 interview date 3/3/15. I think they all ready know who they are gonna approve. They said marriage was not bonafide because no phone record or greetings cards. Lol so they keep us waiting .

Hey guys, I just wanted to update since my last post back in May 23, 2015. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/490471-april-2014-i-130-filers/?p=7640920

I followed Lengs83 and Jojo777's advice to contact Ombudsman and set up appointment at local USCIS office. I was not able to contact/meet congressman.

First I completed and submitted the online form to contact the Ombudsman. Next, after several days of trying was able to set up an Infopass appointment. Two weeks later (June 23) I spoke with a USCIS representative who said she would approve the application and mentioned the application will be sent to NVC.

On our USCIS case status website it says this:

On June 23, 2015, we certified the approval of your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number LINXXXXX, and sent it to the appropriate appellate office. That office will send you a final decision. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What does this mean? I thought after USCIS office approves the application, it's supposed to go to NVC? This happened in June 23, 2015 which was 2.5 months ago and we have heard nothing since then from anyone. Any advice over who to contact or what to do now would be appreciated.

Also, the Ombudsman replied after the USCIS office approved and basically said we can't help you since your case is moving along.

Ok do this . Call NVC and ask them if they have your case. If they do a case number and IN number has already been assigned since its been over two months. Ask for both of these numbers.Once you do that come back and we will help you with the rest. That wording is a bit odd so I would call nvc first things first

I called NVC and spent 45 minutes on hold but managed to speak with a representative. After providing my information (including uscis receipt number) they claimed NVC has no record of our case.

hmm then I would call USCIS and ask them to explain what office did it go to?

From what i see online the only reference to "Appellate office" is in the case of Immigration Appeals Processing, but it says your petition was "Certified Approved" so yeah i would def call USCIS and see what that means
