Yes they do. You get nothing back. My husband could see the medical there when they opened it but he couldn't see anything else other than paperwork. Like I said, he was sitting outside the office and didn't have a clear view.

Ok all done and approved. She said it was pretty ridiculous actually, there for 3 hours and the interview only took 5 min. The rest of the time was spent doing finger prints, turning in documents and just sitting there waiting. But you know its finally done

My Update:

Finally, Technical issues resolved at NVC and after 4 weeks of trying, I have submitted DS-261.

AOS Fees also Paid.

Also, applied for Business visa, interview schedule on 21st July. Have to go urgently for business purpose. Hopefully I get it.

Meanwhile, NVC finishes my case.

Well received Social Security Card in the mail last week now just waiting on the hard copy I-551. ELIS still says "In-Process"

I´ve got my SSN last week as well (had to go to an office although we´ve checked the box for automatic issue).

Still waiting for actual GC as well. POE was 25th of June and last Monday (Aug 3rd) ELIS status finally updated and I was able to add it to MyUSCIS with the status card is being produced.

The waiting never stops LOL
