Great. Mine is issued on 2012. So, I don't require stamp too then.

We have tried to submit DS-261 since last 3 days but it didn't work. Seems like there is an issue on website.

I called NVC too. They said to wait for 10 days.

I read online. The waiting period is for DS-260. I explain them about this. But they still told me to wait.

I can not pay AOS fee without filling DS-261 form.

Should I call them till they fill up my form on phone ?

Is there any other alternative ?

for the interview she will be at it alone, as much as i would like to be there, 3 weeks is to short of notice to request the time off work, submit a foreign travel packet and purchase a plain ticket to London

I have emergency meeting in San Francisco which I can not miss. Should I apply for Business visa (B-1/B-2 visa) now to go to San Francisco ?

Will it create any problem in my immigration file? My file is in NVC stage already.

When it comes to filling out the DS-261, you cannot do that until the NVC reviews the DS-260, but if you call them they should be able to review it right then when you call. i was in the same boat and i called them asked them to process the DS-260, then with in about 2 days i was able to fill out the DS-261. there is a lot of stuff that they dont say on the website and a lot of it is just calling them and asking them to look over a form or asking them to push it through.

As for this meeting, is it a buisiness meeting? if so your buisiness should be the one sponsoring the travel visa, but you can also travel to and from the US while the paperwork is pending, BUT, you will have to annotate that trip on the DS-261

Yes. I called and requested to update with agent details on DS-261. They said it will take 10 days to avail DS-260.

I have to go August 3rd. I was planning to appear for B1/B2 visa around July 20.

I was thinking to schedule appointment after sending final package to NVC. Will it be ok?

Or I can take appointment now & tell NVC or USCIS by phone about this update ?

Or I can tell them when I go for visa interview at embassy ?

i mean you should be fine either way, but also too people still travel after the DS-260 has been filled out. As long as you tell the Embassy about the recent trip and B class visa, but i would def call them first and ask them if it would cause any issues with your pending case.

Ok all done and approved. She said it was pretty ridiculous actually, there for 3 hours and the interview only took 5 min. The rest of the time was spent doing finger prints, turning in documents and just sitting there waiting. But you know its finally done

lol isn't it funny we wait 15 months for a 5 min interview! haha but 5min interview ill take that any day im hoping they just look at my hubby and approve him hahahah . one can only hope lol

She said the longest part was the fingerprints and paperwork because they take all the people in at once and do that all in a group then have a quick one on one for the questions
