I'm so happy for you both! Moving is definitely one of the most stressful things to do and I hate it! LOL Yes, you're correct, I am the petitioner/USC. Mumbai doesn't allow anyone into the interview so he'll take my passport in with him to prove I'm in country anyway. That's the countdown until I see him. I'm spending 2 weeks with him because I'm hoping it will be time spent helping him pack up for his move to the U.S.!!

Oh wow, I didn't know about that rule. So strict! The passport thing seems like a good idea though. Aside from the moral support, it's great that you'll be able to help him pack and move! My wife couldn't really get the time off (and we also decided to save the money) but I'm sure it would have helped a lot to have her there. Two weeks sounds about right...

moving isnt that bad, but being in the Army i guess im used to it, ive moved 10 times in 13 year between different states and countries lol. speaking of immagration, i applied for a job as and Immagration Officer back home in Chicago at the USCIS office, lol if i get that job, ill def bring the knowledge and expierence this past year has given when dealing with them from our end

Wow, that's a lot of moving! I'd lived in other places temporarily but hadn't fully moved in 14 years... so I had about 14 years of things to go through, which was terrible. Glad it's over! And good luck with the job, hopefully if you get it you can find even a tiny way to make things less painful/slow for everyone!

the only things we were asked to bring to the interview in the letter was the medical reports, passport, 2 photos, copies of civil docs and that was the only things they took. they returned all the originals that we had sent to NVC. my husband was asked about 15-20 questions it was quiet intense and intimadating the way they ask you questions. the lady started with how we met, how long we talked before we got married, how did we communicate and at what point did we involve our parents. she also asked things like if mine and his parents used to talk to each other when we were not present when they got involved. he was asked if i went back to india to see him after the wedding (which i had on his birthday to surprise him). then she asked if he had and picture which we had tons of. she looked at pictures from our honeymoon and from the second visit and asked where different pics were taken. she did not request to see our wedding photobook or text msges or call log or the 2014 tax returns. all together it took him about 2hrs in the embassy our interview was at 10 and he was done by 12

So silly question but i have been wonder, now that all the fees are paid, documents submitted and IV packet completed, so if there are no errors will we hear anything else from the NVC or be able to track anything else online? Do we know just wait till my wife gets the letter for the interview?

Well its been taking about 45 days. Go the ceac.state.gov if you see the n/a Aos states paid then case is completed. Calling every day doesnt speed the process up. So just check the site then give them a call

It's not a silly question At this stage yes, you're pretty much waiting to hear if your case is complete or you receive a checklist (fingers crossed you don't receive that). The NVC has been processing at variable speeds lately it seems. I would check at 30 days, 45 days and then 60 days with a phone call to the NVC to check status if you don't want to wait for the email. The 3 NAs don't appear for everyone on the CEAC site, so I wouldn't rely solely on that. Although a very good indicator, some have gotten case complete and never see the 3 NAs. Best of luck to you!

yeah i mean so far its been just about 30 days since scan date, so shall see what happens. I mean also got the IIN and Case Number only 5 days after NVC recieved the packet from USCIS
