So sorry for your RFE, hopefully you'll find out soon what they want and it will be something easily fixed. That just sucks that you've gotten this far and then this happens. I don't know if it would help for you to review all of your documents/paperwork to see if you can figure out what they might need to try and get a jump on things. Best of luck to you moving forward!

you know, thats what i did. i have all the copies of my daughters file here and the only thing i can think of is maybe evidence of custody. my ex and me shared custudy but nxt week im gonna get it in court. the timing would be perfect if it really is about custody. but i dont know, the email said that it can take up to 30 days until we know what the rfe is about, in my mind i just keep bumping my head against a wall :bonk:

Ugh, so frustrating. Maybe it's best to just take a step back and have a zen moment or two and await the outcome of what they want. Because as you said, you'll just keep banging your head against the wall and quite frankly, this process is hard enough without adding more stress to an already too-stressful journey! Crossing fingers you get an answer soon!

Well newest update

The status of this service request is:

Recently, you contacted USCIS concerning your Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130) to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your Form I-129F and Form I-130 are pending consideration. When one files a Form I-130 and a subsequent Form I-129F, this is known as either a K3 or K4 filing, depending on the circumstances. These petitions must be worked together by an officer trained to do these; hence the delay.

This officer has been contacted in order to prioritize your cases. You should receive a Notice or Decision soon. We thank you for your patience.

Please understand that multiple, repeated inquiries actually slow the process down because the officers who adjudicate these cases must also respond to inquiries.

Ohhh I didn't realize you was a k3 . Have you read any threads? They say it slows the process down and not only that it's not a green card visa so your wife still would have to apply for green card once she get to the states you see how crazy the k3 is? You wait just as long as a cr1 but not the benifits . But almost all the times they cancel the 129 and continue with the i30 and it turns into a cr1 and that's why its held up . Sorry I wish someone would of told you! But im praying its with an officer seriously and you get approved ! Edited by ItsGonnaBeWorthIt

The 130 is a CR-1 but the 129F is a K3. Like on their website says you can submit both together to speed things up, but yeah thats not true at all

I do find their site and information highly outdated. I called them before i submitted the 129f and they said that it would cut the time in half, but what they didnt say is that VSC had not processed and approved a 129F in about 2 years

Exactly ! They im sure don't even know what to

Do with a k3 . I was about to do the 129 just because i hit the wrong button when i first started this whole process under the guides I just seen spouse visa I didn't know the difference so when my friend that just went through the process 6 months before me was looking over my paperwork she was like what's this? (I29) i said this is what the guide said use she said trash that I don't mnow

What that is just use the i30 . So without knowing which is which is switched to the i30 and now that I'm well aware of everything im happy I did! I really don't understand the point of the k3 NOW . Before it was faster but still lacks the point of a spousal visa ( getting a green card on arrival) so I really think it's pointless . Just my thought and they should take it off their webiste lol

you know whats funny about a month ago i called the customer service center, and asked the guy about the 129F and he was like "umm there is no such form as the I-129F" i mean really what are they people taught and what is their training period like. But yeah if they have not processed on in years when take it off the page and if they cannot meet their own time limits then dont post them. I do think thats also why they took the "Trends and Volumn" charts off the site
