april 3. filer...still waiting for an approval for my daughter, no rfe...NOTHING...couple of e-requests all got a generated answer.. "pending considiration blah blah"...i really dont know how much longer i can stay sane

I feel you there, filed for my Wife in april and still waiting also. All the service requests also say the same "With officer pending consideration"

Hey did you try to request an expedite so the cases can be married together? I remember a while ago i read the situation your in and their expedite got approved but at NVC not sure if USCIS would do it but doesnt hurt to ask. The idea is for both child and parent to attend interview together .

yes, we requested an expedite but still havent heard anything, my husband also asked for help at the senats office, waiting for any information...making me sick... im so tired of waiting

I just dont get what takes so long and when you put in a service request all you get is a generic response

Well today, 12/29/14, (after 29 tries and 37 minutes of holding time) we finally got our case # and IIN #! One small step closer .... BUT - they assigned us to a consulate that we didn't request and don't wish to go to (Mumbai). Since our case # was just generated today (I happened to get lucky calling the same day it was assigned) they said to send an email to them with all the pertinent details of our case and to request the change. He said since it just got uploaded into their system today and they still had lots of processing to do yet, it wouldn't hold up our case or add any additional waiting time..... fingers crossed he's correct! We're trying to get it changed to the New Delhi Embassy ~ hoping for the best and shortest outcome.

Anyone else ever have this happen to them and were you successful in getting it transferred without an issue? I'm really hoping this doesn't cause additional problems.

Thanks!! Yeah you should definitely be calling next week - I'm sure you'll have your case and IIN #s by then. I hope they transfer us too - without any trouble that is. I don't want any more delays or mix-ups

Yes he did actually, because I specifically wanted to ensure there would be no delay because of it. He said because our case just got uploaded into the system yesterday (the day I called and received our case #s) that as long as I sent an email with all of the pertinent details and our transfer request, it would run concurrently as they still had lots of processing to do. I pray he's right and it doesn't mess things up!

I think your fine , really I searched for transferring cases from one to another and no one had an issue.. even after it has left NVC they still were able to transfer their files to the other place they wanted with just a letter... so someone can say otherwise if they know but I think your ok!
