Yeah! We have an official scan date for AOS / IV package: 12/09/2014.

So the countdown started, 59 days to go :)

Regarding the DS-260 they said the review is taking 42 days, after that the IV-bill is generated and when it is shown as paid, the DS-260 becomes available.

Glad that we sent out the packages and didn´t wait for the IV bill. :)

Congrats! The worst part is over! ;) Keep an eye out for the IV invoice/DS-260 but mostly you can sit back and relax for 5-6 weeks. After that you can start freaking out and checking the CEAC site for a CC. :) They're on Oct 20 right now.

Just looking back to when we all first started this process!! over 8 months ago! and during the process it was horrible and time went so slow we could scream... but now I can see interviews in the NEAR future and husbands and wives arriving in USA and spending the next 60 , 70 years just sitting back laughing at these crazy moments. but what I am most happy about is not only my husband but the friends I made along the way! who knew that we would be in this situation and find friends in the same situation to get us through an hour, a day , a week and 8 months!

what I really want to say is I thank God for you all! for your strength , your dedication and your commitment! and your friendship! :):) :)

Awww, thank you for these nice words! I can't believe it's been 8+ months... and I agree with you, and I'm also super thankful for the nice community we have here at VJ. :) It's an amazing source of information and most of all support. You (and everyone else) can/should also come to the NVC threads later! Lots of nice, helpful and supportive people there, particularly the Rant/Support thread, haha. :) Let us know about your progress!

Long time follower first time posting lol. I filed in April 07 2014 and I guess my wife and I are one of the few remaining April filers left. To add to it we received a RFE after 7 months of them processing our case. I mean It took them 7 months to realize they needed more info and they sent it right before Thanksgiving. What is funny is that it was initiated after my 3rd "out of processing time" request. Sorry rant over, lol

Hi and welcome :) glad you joined us here and feel free to ask questions and/or rant here if you need to. I'm sorry that you're still waiting - we had a few members (Lynn n Sam here, and also counicoune who's not here anymore) who also went through VSC and had to wait way longer than normal. I don't know what's going on at VSC right now, but if it's any consolation I do think the RFE review is usually fast (approval after one month tops). Best of luck with that and I suggest you prepare everything for NVC in the mean time! Hopefully by the time you get there they'll have cleared up some of this horrible backlog they have right now and processing times will have gone down.

lynn and sam it as been announced the country we are heading to next year is India!!! im super excited gotta tell us where to go!! lol , unless its just your hubby from there? if so he can tell us!! lol

a small group of us at church get together each year and go exploring around the world lol, experiencing church, culture, society ect.. 2013 was Africa, 2014 was supposed to be India but someone got married( ) so everyone wanted to be there plus some haven't gotten the chance to go , butttttt india it is for 2015 everyone is getting their tickets , hubby will be going lords will!

Wow that's awesome! India is an exciting place.... so busy and noisy but the scents and food are amazing. My husband is the one that lives there, I'm the petitioner. I've made 7 trips there and I grow to love it more and more. It's got it's not so great side too, like most countries, but I still miss it greatly. Of course, the one place you HAVE to go to is the Taj Mahal. Goa is great touristy beach resort, the many colors of Rajasthan, Victoria Hall in Kolkata, the Gateway of India in Mumbai... there's so many places and things to see. All the temples that are everywhere are amazing as well. India is a huge country and getting around takes lots of time and patience due to the large volumes of traffic and crowds so your group needs to plan well. I've not been to south India and one day hope to see that part of the country as well. Wherever you go, I'm sure you'll enjoy! I hope your husband gets to join you on the trip!

Welcome to the April Filers group, glad you finally decided to dive in! :) And I'm sorry about your RFE. You should be hearing something soon and on your way to approval. I just wanted to say that I definitely feel your pain about time spent away from your spouse. Come January, my husband and I have been together for 5 years (but soon to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary next month) and we've only spent 14 weeks together :crying: Partly because of his job which takes him away for approximately 6 - 9 months at a time and partly my job and obligations (plus $$!) The saddest part is, I had to leave the day after we were married on January 30th and I haven't seen him since - just kills me but what can we do? I don't have an unlimited source of trip funding and his job takes up a lot of time. But, we all have our sad tales and we do what we have to do because of our love for each other, am I right? (L) Here's hoping we can all move forward as quickly as possible to be with our loved ones forever!

It's definitely the most frustrating thing I've encountered in life... well, maybe 2nd to not being able to speak with my husband when he's out in the middle of the ocean for 3 weeks with no way of contacting each other.

Either way.... painful!

Hi everyone

Did not post here after USCIS approval, but have been following others progress here. Luckily we had got approval from USCIS in 5 months, but NVC stage is horrible. We got delayed at least by a month. We got approved on Sept 3rd (PD April 4th) and our case number was assigned in Oct and AOS fee invoiced on Oct 23rd. Then we again got delayed at IV invoice step,it was invoiced on Dec 4th.

Its really loooong process and I have been away from my hubby since March. I just hope to be with him by our first anniversary.

Good Luck

Hey - I looked at your timeline. They've been asking that AOS and IV packages be sent together since September, but things nowadays usually get reviewed by the first scan date regardless (not all the time, but most of the time). It's likely that they put your IV package with your AOS and that both will be reviewed this week or next week at most (they're on October 21 right now). Good luck!

Thank you :)

We had debated about sending together or separately, then decided to send separately. Even while waiting for IV to be invoiced we wondered whether we should send IV package before, but just to be on safe side we waited (although there were people who sent packages before paying IV fee and got approved but heard various accounts).

Anyways, hoping for CC this month or first week of Jan.

Good Luck to you too and everyone here. Its so hard to be away from loved ones for so long.
