Just thought I'd share this link that puts this whole crazy process in perspective. 25,000 cases a week!!! ???

OH WOW. that's a lot of cases that increased , I don't blame them for taking forever from 8k to 25k is a big difference!!!

well looks like they are hiring and cross training so hopefully it will go back to being the same once the backlogged is done with....

I get overwhelmed at my work when the load gets a bit high but X 3! geez

im preparing my AOS and Im using my tax transcripts that I printed online but I see a lot of checklist for gross or total income but on my transcripts these numbers are the same.. I have two 1040 and one 1040ez and on my 1040 total income and adjusted gross income is the exact same... so it was just a general question some people have different numbers in these sections? my 2011 and 2013 have the same amount on my 1040 for both.. I see on the 1040ez adjusted gross income so that's no problem ... none of it actually is a issue because of course ill just put the number for total income as stated ON 1040 and gross income as stated on 1040ez but It was just a general question that maybe some others have different numbers?

another question about leaving stuff blank, since I don't have my husband A number S & A you suggested that I put unknown? but how when numbers are indicated to be put in these boxes?

and about leaving things blank since im only sponsoring my husband do I put NA for families 2 to 5?

only reason asking is the example sheet leaves these parts blank so was a bit confused the A number is left blank and also the families 2 through 5 are as well ..

Yeah the example leaves blanks, but it's wrong because people get checklists for blanks so don't put unknown put N/A. Your income should be the same, so you're good I think people just copied wrong amounts when filling AOS. Also make sure you are using BLACK ink, not blue. If you use blue you will get a checklist. best of luck!! ☺️

Yeah - these numbers are different for some people, that's where the confusion comes from. Like you said, Total for the 1040, AGI for the 1040EZ like it says in the question and it'll be fine.

I spammed N/A absolutely everywhere that did not apply but not for the Alien Number since that would imply it does not apply... but it does... you just don't know the number yet. I'm sure it doesn't matter a lot either way, haha. If it doesn't let you type I think some people wrote "N/A" by hand. Make sure all the appropriate checkboxes are checked once you print it because some magically uncheck themselves. We had to check one by hand on the I-864EZ.

They received our case on November 26th but it hasn't been uploaded into their system yet - so no case # or IIN # as of yet. She said we have to wait up to 42 days from the date of receipt for them to get it into their system. Hoping it doesn't take that long....

Good to know they received it! One step closer. VSC and CSC ship the cases faster than NSC... I've read about people that were approved from NSC and it took over a month for their case to get to NVC.

Hopefully you'll get your case number soon. I would call back in two weeks or so. That stage is a bit delayed now but I don't think it'll take anywhere close to 42 days.

Thanks S. & A.! Yes, exactly what I was telling my husband.... at least it's forward progress! My friend who went through this about a year ago thinks the same - that it may not take as long as the 42 days. I'll be calling again as you suggested. Appreciate your tips and helpfulness. Ok..... now back to waiting LOL

We were told the 42 days wait too but got our case # on the 29th day. It seems according to other timelines on here that the average time right now for assigning the case # is around 30 days after receiving the file.

Update for our case: we were able to pay our AOS bill yesterday and sent out our AOS / IV packages yesterday as well.

Seems that the NVC is moving a little bit faster now with unlocking invoices.

I'm a bit confused what to think right now. On December 1st 2014 we recieved the update that our I-130 case was approved then on December 4th it had another update stating that our case was sent to the Department of State for visa processing,...now it's saying on December 5th 2014 that my case has been approved. Is this common for cases statuses todo this? Is my case at the department of state or is it goin through the process again??

Oh that's good news! I was hoping it wouldn't take so long. And I hope you're right about NVC moving faster! We could all use some expediency at this point. We waited longer than normal processing times through USCIS already so some faster processing would be great
