Quick question im looking all over this approval notice but i dont see a alien registration number not even a A then number , was just finishing my AOS and thought for some reason i read it would be on this notice , nothing next or above his name, but nothing . Or is that something nvc will give me?

I'm pretty sure we don't get the alien registration number until the green card stage. The NVC will give you the case number, the IIN number & the beneficiary number (some people are saying its taking 30-50 days) since they've gone with a new company at the NVC. Congrats again on getting NOA2!

well 87 tries and 30min later I confirmed that my case was received on December 1st lol! I don't like calling she said if I don't get a letter in 30 days then call back im just going to wait it out. Lynn and sam did your case get there?

No I haven't heard a thing yet! I don't know when our case left either - I suppose you get that via USCIS? And I just realized that an email I sent to NVC a week ago requesting our information was sent to the wrong address. I just re-sent my email to the correct address. My problem is I work 3 jobs and I really don't have the time to spend on endless phone calls and staying on hold for unusually long periods of time. But, I'm thinking I'm going to HAVE to find the time somehow to call them.... sigh Glad to hear your persistence paid off!!

well I wasn't going to call but then you know reading on this website about NVC not receiving their files so I got scared and just wanted to make sure lol. I could of just waited the 30 days and checked but I wanted to be 100 percent sure they had my case then I didn't mind waiting the 30 days. Well sometimes you get it on the USCIS site and sometimes you don't but since you didn't I would find time just to be 100 percent sure that your case is there then like me don't bother calling them until you haven't received anything in the 30 days..

. yea I called yesterday and it hung up on me after 30min! and then I called this morning but after like 20min of waiting I decided I rather spend my time driving to work talking to my husband lol so I hung up so at work I decided just to put my headphones in and do work while I just wait it out. but she said I couldn't give over my email address until I called back in 30days..whatever!

3 jobs!!??? my job is very easy and I get paid very well but I couldn't imagine 3! im already planning to be a housewife with the one i got lol ! your strong!

Please don't do the AOS & IV with your eyes closed. Be very very careful and don't miss anything! Regarding your other questions, yeah, I think people used to get their A-number with their NOA2 before but maybe not anymore. I didn't get mine. I wrote "unknown" when asked for it in the I-864. Remember not to leave anything blank, particularly if you are doing the I-864EZ.

About giving over your email addresses, yes, I could only do that once I called and a case number had been generated, not before (when it was just "in the building").

Sometimes you get an update via USCIS, sometimes you don't. I never got an update. I totally understand what you mean but unfortunately NVC takes around 30-40+ days to reply to emails (they didn't even answer my question in the one I sent!), so calling them is the only viable way to get some answers most of the time. HAHA ok ill keep my eyes open when I fill it out and yea I read a lot and even seen pictures on Google where the A number was there that's why I searched before I asked but I guess it doesn't come anymore.. ill write unknown
