i haven't seen my husband since january, i had to leave 3 days after we got married and now i cant even visit him cuz im scared they wont even let me in. i'd have to fly for 16 hours to get to him and it would be devastating to turn around at the border and go home, so we talk on skype every free minute not even hanging up when one of us leaves, the time difference doesn't make it easier cuz one of us has to stay awake at night , this is making me sick...

how hard can it be to check papers WE PAID FOR!!...its not like they doing us a favor....we pay for it....pay alot...so...hire more ppl and hurry up uscis :ranting: i dont even wanna start thinking about the loooong nvc process though...

Why won't they let you in? Are you U.S Citizen trying to visit your spouse who is in abroad ?

I don't think NVC isn't working any faster then the USCIS unfortunately, they are so back logged. Everything submitted takes 60 days minimum just to review. We've been at the NVC 3 months & were only at USCIS 3 months total. There are many people who have been at the NVC since April who have not received their interview dates or even CC yet. When we were approved so quickly at USCIS I got my hopes up we'd have our case complete by October, but then they changed the processing time from 30 days to 60. I'm not being negative, just trying to be realistic & we all have to accept this process is long & out of our hands, sadly. ?

Hey counicoune (and the rest at VSC), I just saw this on the March filers thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/486596-march-2014-i-130-filers/page-34 :/ apparently some poeple from the last week of March at VSC are also waiting still. :(NVC seems to be moving faster (maybe) but I think if this takes much longer you would have valid reasons to at least try to request an expedite at the NVC stage.

*iri*, I think all the cases from the first week of April at NSC were transferred to CSC, some people just didn't update their timelines. At least all the receipt numbers around mine were.

Well, you were only at USCIS for three months, which is rare and definitely not the norm. For those of us who waited 5 months or more at USCIS, NVC should be faster (unless exceptional cases with like two checklists or more). I have followed the NVC threads for a few months now and I know how long it's been taking, but I was actually referring to the changes after September 12. It used to take 20/30 days for NVC to assign a case number, for example, but my case took 9 days. Also AOS and IV fees are being invoiced about 7-10 days apart (for people that don't have a lawyer) when that used to take 50-60 days. We don't have any information on review times yet, but AOS and IV packages are now sent together. I'm not one to be overly optimistic and I'm not saying it will take one month, but things do seem to be speeding up.

Same here.... I haven't seen my husband since January either - 1 day after marrying. :crying: And yes, the time difference is a b*tch! It's a 9 1/2 hour difference right now and I'm definitely suffering from lack of sleep. If we could only get NOA2 at least, and then hopefully the rest of the process moves at lightning speed!

Congrats! But wait, if you have a lawyer weren't your AOS and IV fees invoiced together? You had to complete DS-261? We got to skip the DS-261 and our lawyer got an email with both invoices. We're waiting on some of my documents to send both packages together. They're currently somewhere in Florida, hope they get to my wife Monday or Tuesday. :(

My case number was assigned in July after only 12 days. Both my fees were paid together 6 days after that. I just don't want people to get their hopes up that once you make it to the NVC it's speedy. When you call the NVC they tell you everything takes 60 days to review. Again, I'm not being negative I'm just sharing my experience & the experience of others at the NVC. My case took off at the NVC at lightening speed & now it's just in limbo because of the 60 day review times it seems. Best of luck to everyone.
