Counicoune, don't be sad! We should talk about happier things while we wait. Where are you all going to live after all of this is over? :)

Ok :) Well my husband is from Ohio so the 3 of us will live in a rural area in Eastern Ohio. I have been there quite a bit and I absolutely love this state! It is pretty much like Canada lol with way less snow (I wont cry about that...) It is 15h drive from my Canadian family. I have to say very few, if any, people from my friends and family encourage me or are happy about me moving out of the country. But frankly, I don't give a damn. We cant wait to be reunited and continue our life that is on hold for so long.

hmm I have a question I just looked up the e-request just to see what it says.. but under 130 it only has US citizen filing for spouse ,parent or child UNDER 21... are we not allowed to do it if we are out of normal processing time and over 21?

The UNDER 21 part is only referencing the child. :)

That sounds wonderful! And I understand what you mean about friends and family, I've experienced pretty much the same resistance. At least you can drive there, though! I'm a 12h (and quite expensive) flight away so I don't know how much I'll be returning. I'm going to NYC myself. For the time being, though, I just got two wisdom teeth out so I'm in bed with a giant pot of ice cream and reading VJ. :dead:

I am in Wisconsin and the snow gets to be about 30 inches and we just had a -40 degree weather and my husband is from Ethiopia :lol::lol: :lol: ... I just have to convince him that all the states are like this or he will soon want to move lol...the bad thing about it is if everything work out he will be coming in dead winter :(:(:unsure::unsure::unsure::wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko: ...

Hahaha, you joke but when I used to check the USCIS processing times (and had to pick the petition type) my brain always went like "but I'm not under 21!"... even though I knew what it meant.

Oh god that sounds horrifying. I'm from Argentina where it never gets below 32F :cry: I spent the last three winters in NY and it was so horrible (I mean, it was wonderful because I was with my wife but the cold was horrible). Given how things are going, yes, I think we're going to arrive in January noOOOOOOOO

Married in Delhi - 1/30/2014

Sent I-130: 4/7/2014 NOA 1: 4/10/2014

NOA 2: 11/13/2014 (after 217 days)

NVC Received: 11/26/2014 (13 days from USCIS to the NVC)  // Case # & IIN # received - 12/29/2014 (via phone to NVC) Also sent email to get case transferred to New Delhi

NVC Welcome Letter received: 12/30/2014

Visa in hand: 05/20/2015 (Yay!) ELIS Fee ($165) paid this day as well

POE: 05/29/2015 Newark 

SSN card received: 6/8/2015 (processed on 6/2/2015) // ELIS shows "Optimized" since 5/30/2015  // ELIS changed to "In Process" 07/14/2015. (E-file received 06/25/15)
