I feel my papers are never gonna happen. It's gonna be 4 months in 3 days... what if something went wrong? what if they lost our file? Why didn't we hear something yet :( I am so stressed over the possibility that our case is denied...

Keep the faith the processing time is 5 months. It's only been 4 & you have to factor in business days. Stay positive, it's the key to this process.

Hi, my wife and I are in the same position as most of the other April filers....waiting and trying to be patient. I have a question that I cannot seem to find an answer to on the USCIS website. My wife, the Beneficiary of my I-130 and I-129F petitions, has moved from the address (in Costa Rica) to another address (also in Costa Rica). Is there a requirement and form for me to complete for the change of address for her. My address as Petitioner has not changed. Thanks in advance for anyone answering this.

I personally would wait for the NOA2. There is really nothing you can do until that, I doubt you can even call them?

Hi! After you paid for your AOS and completed ds 260, chose an agent. Did you waited for any hard copy mails from NVC or did you proceed to sending the documents needed + the cover letter with receipt? When can we pay the IV fee? Big thanks

Here's the email Sent me from NVC Yesterday .. :goofy:

June 19, 2014

Dear Principal Applicant:

Your immigrant visa petition is now eligible for further processing at the National Visa Center (NVC). You will need the

following identification numbers to carry out the next steps in the immigration process:

? Your NVC Case Number: xxxxxxxxxx

? Your Invoice ID Number: xxxxxxxxxxx

? Your Beneficiary ID Number: xxxxxxxxx

Keep this letter in a safe place. You will need these identification numbers again during the immigration process.

You must now establish communication with the NVC by completing the Form DS-261, Online Choice of Address and

Agent Form, which allows you to register an agent and your agent's contact information with the NVC. Your agent is a

person you choose to receive communications from the NVC on your behalf. You may act as your own agent, or you may

choose your petitioner, a family member, a friend, an attorney, an immigrant assistance professional, or any other person you

trust to represent you.

If you decided to register someone other than yourself as your agent, the NVC strongly recommends choosing a person with

email capability. If you act as your own agent, the NVC recommends you provide your email for correspondence as it is the

quickest and most efficient form of communication.

To establish communication with the NVC and register your agent you must go to ceac.state.gov and complete the

DS-261, Online Choice of Address and Agent.

IMPORTANT: The NVC cannot process your case until you complete the online DS-261.

Sincerely,

Director

National Visa Center

Yes 5 months is the processing time for USCIS right now. Try not to lose sleep it will drive you crazy. It's best not to compare your case with others because that will make you disappointed. Realize we are all going through it & although it's challenging it's out of our control. The thing you can control is your response to it. Easier said then done, but trust the process & it might make it a bit easier. I cried today because I miss my husband so much & haven't seen him since February & won't until our interview which won't be until December probably, but we have to ride it out. There's nothing else we can do.

I understand so much what you are going through... My husband and I are apart since January, we could see each other during 3 days in May but he hasn't seen his son 1rst anniversary, nor his first steps or word... it tears my heart apart. I really try to have faith in the process but it is nerve wreaking to think that something could still go wrong. We Skype a lot... like a lot. It is definitely not an easy process we are all into. After the whole mess that was the process for Canada (and us just giving up) I just can hope for the best for USA. I know you understand... it is not natural and so hard to be away for so long from the man we decided to spend our life with...

Anyway... thank you for your words, I appreciate it a lot.

I feel your pain as my husband and I haven't seen each other since January as well, 1 day after we got married I had to come back to the states - the hardest thing I've had to do so far. Definitely not natural to be married and be so far away from each other every day. Best of luck to all of us moving forward and here's hoping for our happily ever afters....

Absolutely right. We are planning a trip too in October or November (maybe for thx giving) our son is still very young, he doesn't understand what's going on with Skype (he is 16 months) and really I dont know if he remembers his daddy. But after the trip, which should last 2 weeks, he shold be old enough and big enough to recognize him on the computer :)
