I-864 vs I-864A Question

Yes.

So I'm trying to fill out my mom's I-864a to send to my wife to keep for interview if it is asked as recommended, but I am not sure on several parts since most things are either 0 or don't apply since she does not work and is stay at home.

-Relationship to sponsor, (would this be relationship to joint sponsor (my father? or me)

-Employment. my mom doesn't work she is stay at home so should I just put unemployed (she has a pension from another country but it is not necessary to report so I'd rather not)

-Tax info, I would copy from my father's (the joint sponsor) I-864 and i guess also attach a letter why they didn't file taxes like I did for my father's I864 since its married filling jointly right?

-Finally at the end of the form would the housemember signing be my father at the end of the form?

Also is there any modifications that would have to be made to my father's I864 because of this? (if so I guess I would modify that and then send both to my wife incase they request it)

Always double check your documents and forms. Not only do you get delayed by RFEs and Checklists, but the time it takes for them to review the new items you send could be used to approve more applications. Save yourself and others valuable time!

Current Status: NVC:
-Assigned and Received NVC Case Number, IIN, and BIN April 18, 2014. (100% sure case # was assigned today because I called twice and it wasn't assigned in the morning when they opened but in the afternoon it was)
*Could not provide email then as case was still being updated in their system
-On April 21, 2014 I was able to provide my email and beneficiary's.
-On April 28 I was able to fill out DS-261
-On April 29 I received and paid AOS Fee (at 1pm)
-On May 1 I received and paid IV Fee (at 1pm [became available]), also AOS Fee shows as PAID
-On May 5 IV Fee shows as PAID and DS-260 became available and was completed. Also, AOS Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 7 IV Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 28 AOS Accepted

-On June 2 IV Accepted/Case Complete

-On June 11 Interview Email Received

-On July 3 Interview at Moscow

Note: Medical Exam scheduled after interview letter received by calling the specific clinic, earliest appointment was 2 weeks ahead)

-Visa approved, came to us, got greencard, sadly things didnt go well and divorced. Last I hears she was still in the US and got a full greencard (I notified USCIS of divorce though)

The way I read what you wrote, your mother is the unemployed household member of the "sponsor" your father, so her relationship is "spouse". Her I-864a is submitted in connection to her husband's I-864, while both parents' forms are submitted in support of of and in connection to the primary sponsor's (petitioner's) I-864. Dad is the joint sponsor with mom as his household member.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Wife had copy of I864A but it was not requested at interview, in fact no mention of AOS or taxes during interview..
All went awesome and we got visa!!!! Thank you for the advice once again and certainly while we had tons of documents that were not needed it certainly gave us confidence and one way or the other. Success. My wife and I are so so so happy and can't wait to be together forever <3
