Sweetwinks, sorry, sarcasm doesn't flow well in text. My work doesn't see my engagement as real. I get made fun of & they think it's a joke. I'm completely in love with him but because he doesn't live here, he doesn't exist in their minds. No one seems to believe let alone understand what I'm going through. It's a bit frustrating. However, I leave in less than 2 days for another visit & that'll help a lot.

I didn't read the sarcasm! That's so horribly awful :( it's really disrespectful that they don't recognize your very real relationship; I am sorry for that!

For the 5 month mark, Texas should be on December/January. Though I think a lot of December filers did get through last month. I'm hoping for a late September approval with two months for interview/physical I'm hoping to take some time off work when he gets here...since were getting married, but a coworker is due to give birth around that time & since my fiancé doesn't live here, he's not really my fiancé so the marriage doesn't matter so they'll probably decline my vacation request:( so , I hope we get approved sooner. Texas needs to speed up!

We've just started the month of May. So, K1 petitions with an NOA-1 date in November and December will be reaching the five month mark. Very few K1 December filers have been approved recently as the number of people waiting in the December queue has remained relatively static. There is a marked difference between CSC processing times for K1 and TSC as evidenced by the following charts from Igor's list:

Sweetswinks-yeah, it's disheartening. I wake up early every morning before I go to work to talk to my fiancé for at least an hour & we have long "dates" on Sundays & my day off during the week, & we text each other every waking moment, but to everyone at my job, I'm not in a real relationship because I don't physically see him. It'd be nice if Texas would pick up the pace so we can be together-then I can prove them wrong;) mainly, I just miss him to death, but I'll be amused when they realize that he is the most amazing man I've ever met.

I am the petitioner.

My brother has a NOA1 of January, 15, 2014... I am helping him on this, we are in Texas, and I'm thinking about contacting the congressman, any advice on what should be in the letter, should we call or email, and who should we call since there are lots of them??

Lets take action, I read one applicant contacted the congressman of his state and got an approval 12 days later, that might have been a coincidence (Which I think it was) but there might be a chance that him calling actually had an effect...

There is some information in this Q&A about that: http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a

Basically, the normal processing time hasn't passed yet so you should wait until that has happened before trying to get congress involved.

I am the USC Petitioner. My wonderful wife Laura is from Scotland.

I keep hoping for a 2 week/per month so that they will catch up quickly. The CSC is laughing at us in Texas and it kind of makes me sad and frustrated every day. Seeing people being done in less then 3 months...

I honestly know what you mean. You want to really know what boils me? The fact that you have all of these people trying to go about this the LEGAL way and we are told that we need to wait XXX amount of time, pay this fee and that fee etc. and so forth, while you have millions upon millions of illegal immigrants currently in the USA wanting amnesty granted to them and this benefit, and that benefit, and they are ALLOWED to stay here! So while us honest folks who are trying to do the right thing as Americans, we are told we need to "wait in line" for an unknown amount of time, as well as treated as if we did something wrong by calling them inquiring about our cases. I work for the State Government with a Police Department and I tell you what, I am blown far away by how absurd and horrible this process is. I am in the current process of doing up several letters, getting in touch with my local politicians and so on and so forth and bringing this unfair system to people who can make a difference. As loyal and honest Americans this is unacceptable and while I want my petition approved just as well as any other, I will not just sit here and try to help myself with this as this is a problem and it needs to be addressed.

Here is a little news article for you. This is how unfair the system is with this....

Thanks for the article. That is kind of infuriating. That's probably explains the long wait we have to go through right now...

I'm not 100% familiar with the type of visa you are filing since I am filing for a k1, but if it is what I am thinking then I believe the normal processing time is 5 months (from the NOA1 date). What type of visa is it? That may help somebody who is in the same situation give you advice.
