Did you check online at USCIS? Our ARN was assigned within a few days of our NOA1.

Sometimes I think the "date watching" on Igor's is counterproductive for me ;) It just depends on what I read!

Yeah I checked. It says:

On March 6, 2014, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

No ARN yet :/

Odd! Maybe it didn't update in the system? To be honest, I don't know that it means anything or not :( I'm sorry!

Yes, I know TSC sucks... We're just unlucky.

But I've read in some posts that TSC is at least better at sending off our package once they approve. But CSC takes much more to send the package.

I just want to be able to set my wedding date already :(

You may not know what your ARN is but it should've been assigned during NOA1. Mine was.

I am sure our case is one of those unsual ones But we received a fast NOA2 response. 129f Mailed March 10th. Transfered to CSC. I am from Wa State. We received our NOA2 Apr 7th 2014. I was expecting a long wait but it was unbeleivable that we got a resoponse so fast. Am waiting for hard copy of NOA2 now then we can check with the NVC. Not sure why the package was approved so fast but it was.

If it's any consolation, back when I applied in Sept 2012, CSC screeched to a halt while VSC & TSC were pumping out their approvals like crazy. Then, out of nowhere, CSC started approving applications 2-3 months ahead of us just so they could get their 'national average' back.. I waited for my NOA2 for 8 months! You can just never predict which service centre will be the most productive at x point in time.. All you can do is hang in there & hope for the best! Good luck to you all - once you get that NOA2, you will be so busy with the next steps that this agony will be forgotten :)

I know that's right. the part I bolded in your statement. That's the part I can't wait for. I've already done most of the stuff mentioned in the Guides under "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): At least, the parts that I can already do, non-time sensitive stuff.

The ones I see Feb/March. Granted, I am going by the data entered by people on VJ. There are a lot of "yes" under the xfer spot on timelines and then they show CSC as where it was xfered to.

They are not being transferred from the TSC to the CSC. People incorrectly think they are mailing their petitions to the TSC and then think they were transferred when their petitions are sent from the Dallas lockbox intake facility to the CSC for processing.

I was also transferred from Texas to CSC and waiting on NOA2. I got excited after getting NOA1 on March 2, about 7 days after initial submission, only to realize that was only the beginning of my wait. Its early days for me so I definitely have to distract myself. :)

As I told you in your other thread > "Not transferred to the CSC. All I-129F petitions are mailed to the Dallas lockbox. That is an intake facility and not the TSC. From the intake facility, the petitions are sent either to the CSC or the TSC for processing. Yours went to the CSC."

Someone is not transferred unless their petition was already sent to one of the USCIS service centers and then had their petition transferred from one service center to another. You would receive a transfer notice as well. The petitions being received at the Texas intake facility and then routed to the CSC is not a transfer of your case.

I am signed up for the text and email for status changes but I still check the USCIS website 5-10x a day! I just can't stop myself.

There's a big part of the problem. You need to stop doing that. Look once a week at the end of the day on Fridays.

The site's not even updated in real time, there's no point in checking multiple times a day, it will always be the same result as 2 hours earlier.

I definitely feel your frustration. There have been a number of people who have submitted after me and are now approved.. Everyone's case is different; But, I really thought my case would be easy-peasy due to the fact that we met while I was working and living in the US, had an apartment together, we have two dogs that are currently with him in the new house that he bought for us, my mother has her PR and lives in the same state, and my employer is a US based company... SO much evidence and I'm still waiting for my NOA2!

It's hopeful and it sucks to see everyone else get their approvals.. but again, TSC hasn't promised that it would be a quick turn-around.

Fingers crossed!

Ah, I understand. I was wondering if some of it was a clerical error.

Thanks, Avery. I got this notification in my email last night when I was at work and I have to tell you today that I have no urge to check USCIS and I'm only on VJ right now to respond to these messages. That makes sense. I hope I can hold on to this rationale and feeling.

Odd! I guess it just highlights in the inadequacy and a definite need for overhaul in the immigration process and more! It's true.... I don't know what will happen with the ebb and flow..... I'll just stay positive and hope for a turnaround. Thanks for the positive vibes!
