I'm just hoping my fiancé will be here for my birthday in December. It's not too much to hope for...noa1 April 23...

I hope that its not too much to ask for because I'm pretty much asking for the same thing!

I spent Christmas and New Year's in Brazil with his family. That's when we got engaged... at sunrise... on the beach... it was A.MA.ZING! But super hot, cause it was summer down there. :)

I just keep checking and praying every day for the NOA2, cause that will really determine when and what our plans will be. Fingers crossed for all of us to get speedy approvals!

Aww that's an amazing proposal! We got engaged at my favorite restaurant in Turkey that made AMAZING pizza. He had his taser in his pocket that looks like a flashlight..apparently when he reached in his pocket for the ring, he tased himself! I knew he as acting weird but I had no idea that's why. He told me what happened later that night & you should have seen his face as he was telling me! Hahaha a story for the grandkids

Hi everyone! I am the beneficiary. My Fiancé and I are filing at Texas service center as well. Our NOA1 date is April 30th.

We thought about getting married as soon as I arrive in the US with my visa. Then we want to make a religious ceremony and the reception with all our family from the US and France around May or June 2015. That would let us time to plan everything, and my family would have time to plan coming to the US (bying plane to tickets, ask for vacation days...etc).

I agree that planning a wedding when you're not sure about how fast things are going to go is very hard. And it is even harder to plan a wedding from another country!

I am glad to see I am not the only one to worry about how our wedding is going to be plan!

Oh my gosh I cannot imagine being the girl in this situation and being in another country! To plan a wedding in a different country while being in a whole other country would be a nightmare to me! Bless your heart! In your case, I completely agree with getting married right away and having a ceremony later. We're getting married far enough away that its difficult, but its still the US and its all of my family & friends, not his. We're going to do a big party in Russia for him & his family & friends.

I'm glad I commented on this thread. I almost didn't! Y'all are already making me feel a thousand times better!

Yes I am kind of stressed!

We are both agree that the most important for us is being married in front of God and our family. So, having a civil ceremony is more a convenient thing for us. I'll be able to work sooner (not able to stay months without doing anything!) and he won't pay for everything for months.

Then my friends and family will be able to come and that would let us the time to prepare a beautiful ceremony with all of them! But at the same time, it won't be to late either. Just a few months after the civil ceremony.

I am hoping to get my visa at least at the end of the year.... I would leave France at the beginning of next year and that would give us a few months to plan our religious ceremony.

Praying that everything works well! And praying for everybody here that the road isn't to long until we all get to be with our Loves!

I think most of us April filers are hoping for the end of the year. Our stupid predicted adjudication dates keep changing and it makes me mad. It used to be end of June through end of July. Then it went as far as end of August to end of September. Now its end of July to beginning of September. So frustrating! I know its just a prediction but its supposed to reflect recent processing times. When it gets pushed back a month every single day of one week, that's really hard. But here's to beating the odds & quick approvals!
