Hi everyone: Our son is 6, he already has a U.S. Passport but it expires in mid-April so we wanted to get him a new one. We used expedited processing and overnight delivery when we filed his application.

1. It was received by the passport people in Philadelphia on April 1st about mid-day.

2. Our check was cashed on April 2nd.

3. We started being able to "track" the passport application status online on April 3rd.

I know their current process times for expedited applications says "8 business days". Just curious from others who have filed an application recently, how long it is actually taking. Today is April 9th and the online status still says "currently being processed". Today, April 9th has been 6 "business days". Just hoping there won't be any problems and the online status will change really soon to say that it has been completed, approved, and mailed.

Thanks, have a great day!
