Have been notified by USCIS they have scheduled my wife's and I interview for the Greencard for 5/16/2014. By that time it will be 3 1/2 months since we filed for the EAD. Why are they calling us in for an interview for the green card without approval of the EAD, we really need this EAD to get an extra income into our household??

Dont know if this is good or bad!!

Also, can anyone give a ball park figure the length of time to issue the Greencard once the interview is over with an it is approved??

Thank you for any help on this.

Ron

It's good that you have an interview date already. It means they can adjudicate your case sooner. Green card is issued within 2 weeks after approval. With it you can work and travel with no need for ED or AP.

They did the same for me. I received my EAD card 3 weeks before my interview. I did not use it even since I had my Greencard already.
