Quick question.

Me and my wife are travelling overseas before her interview date. We are travlling to Pakistan and then returning from Lahore to Toronto with a transit @ JFK for 4 hours. I'm t he USC and my wife is a Canadian citizen. Will I encountr any problems transiting through the US? I heard you have toclear customs ib JFK even if you are just transiting

Yes, you have to clear Customs in JFK, get your bags and then re-check them in. There is a very real possibility that you might have to change terminals depending on your airline. Make sure you have any required documentation, visa etc, to have a worry free connecting experience.

You should not have any problems as long as you have your all your documents - my Canadian husband and I traveled to mexico back to the states before he went back to Canada and we had no problems at all and they did not ask for anything other than the customs form and our passports.

Have a good trip! :)

The only problem is that my wife's visa interview is immediately after we come back. So I geus the question is that although her immigration is still pending, at that time willl she be given a hard time for transiting through the US although we don't have intention for my wife to come to the US permanently until after interview and process approval.

Also I'm a dual national. Canadian/US. I'm flying from Toronto and am using my Canadian passport Nowwhen teturning, at JFK should I show my American or Canadian passport.. .

She won't have issues. They don't look up your immigration status at customs unless you're pulled into secondary and they think something is wrong. I really don't think you'll have any issues. Have your itinerary and boarding passes as well.
